-- organizing your cd's?
organizing your cd's?
i have always wondered....
with the many different artists out there....how do you organize your cd's? Do you often reburn your cd's to add new tracks?
ive always wonder this too?? anybody wana tell us?
I put like 2-4 songs per CD --> original, mix, mix
And then I write down what's on the CD, if I get a new song with the same artist, I put him on a different CD with a song that has the same track, so I rather go by tracks then artist.
There was a thread on this a while ago...
i label mine Greg #1, #2, etc..
each cd has about 10 tunes on it. if i find myself needing 2 copies of certain cd as i like to play the tune with another tune on the album i just burn another copy.. most of the the time i find i dont need to do this.
i dont like mixing cds, but EVERYWHERE has a cd mixer so they are a good backup. i think il just start using final scratch with cds at certain clubs as well even though i dont want to..
so as long as the club has tts and my laptop doesnt crash yay for FS2.
with Final Scratch i have all my tunes organized into playlists of different styles. electro, chilled, prog, trancey, funky, etc.
When I get enough tracks to fill a disc, I burn two copies onto printable CD's. I then print the track list on the CD's along with the date I burned it.
I don't really try to organize by sub-genre anymore, it just gets too confusing with all the cross-genre stuff. But I play mostly the same type of music (not throwing down hip-hop in with my prog. house or anything).
