LA girls coming to NYC ...

Made a post a few weeks ago in the Vistors thread but wanted to get some stuff cleared up and was wondering if you could help ?

1.) Which edm clubs have dress code??
2.) What's a good time to get to the clubs w/o being too early and not too late where we end up in the crowded lines?
3.) Are presales worth it?
4.) Are there any bars/lounges that play house/trance music? We're looking for one of our nights to be chill and not too crazy.

FYI- We'll be there Oct 20-23rd. 6 girls and 1 guy are going. Would love to meet fellow NYTA'rs!

You should really check out crobar, it's one of nyc's nicest clubs here and it's always a treat to catch sander and nic faniculli. I'm there I know that much..

I just moved to NE PA, so at this point I'm rollin solo, but I'm trying to get one of my boys from TO and another from Buffalo to make the trip and meet me in the city.

I also gave Sean Miller a call, but I haven't talked to him in months and he's probably too busy so I won't hear from him unless I see him at the party.

Anyways, if you see a tall drunk guy, say somethin...unless I do!

lawler is in town this weekend so we'll have to choose sander over lawler..... but havent seen sander.. ever... everytime he's in town its usually during a big event or im out of town myself...

no loungey places with house music?

guestlist/discount of any sort? hehe.. thanks!

Not really. If there are, they for the most part are empty - most places here stick to playing hip-hop at lounge's.

sander K *should* be free on the Bradley Rose Guestlist.
as for loungey places playing house music? You might be able to catch some tunes at Temple on Thursday Night (I know jollins hits that once in a while)

Look into Cielo for Thursday/Sunday night EDM parties (also a scene ie: dress to depress ala meat packing trendy scene)

Opus22 also brings some EDM on various nights.

I also think TFST.NYC might be doing something, not 100% sure. TFST.NYC is a TA ran party at a small local club downtown.

I'd suggest checking out the lower east side strips to hop bars (usually no cover - $5 if anything). You'll find a various selection of crowds down there which are all casual (jeans sneakers t-shirt) and wont kill your wallet. mostly from 14th st to Houston Street on Avenue A and B. There are also some 1st-2nd Ave bars that you could hit. If you want to stay in that area, my suggestive block would be 14thst down to houston st and from 2nd avenue over to avenue b. grab a city map and you'll be able to see that these streets like almost all city streets are essentially a grid. downtown means lower numbers, uptown means higher numbers. avenues go from the east side to the west side Avenue C - 12th Avenue.
