Trance Live Acts

The only one I know of is Nu Nrg? Are there any others?

Not talking BT style laptop sets either. By 'live' I mean a couple of guys up there with JP8000's and mixing desks actually playing trance.

Has this aspect of trance been lost and replaced with the almighty DJ?

there are loads of live acts.

Astrix, Alien Project, Son Kite, Etnoscope, Human Blue just to name a few

Na, I'm talking about trance acts, not psy acts. Ones that play straight up trance... uplifting/tech or whatever. I cant really think of any apart from Nu Nrg. Just wondering if there are any big ones...

Don't forget Junkie XL, Infusion, Infected Mushroom, Chemical Brothers, or Underworld.

Ferry Corsten did a live PA in the beginning of summer. I heard it was his first ever PA.

Because they all make straight up trance, don't they?

Push.

I don't think MIKE does many of them anymore, but looking at his website you can still book him to do one.

OK, cool... Not really the acts that I thought would do it live. Ferry?? No shit..

What about Alphazone?

Hmm... there should be more of it I reckon.

Chicane, A&B have done a few (but they sucked imo), K90 (a bit harder)

Am I right or wrong, Rank-1?

Wha...! I don't believe it! Haha! Anth would be so happy.

Ah, he doesn't do too much anymore, though, as he's quite content living the married life in Rupert. However, I did get the chance to catch a few of his live P.A. sets before he released that. Fun stuff.

This is where I purchased it...

Have you heard of these guys? They're Canadian trance producers

I have, though only have a couple of remixes of them on a release called The Sound Of Zero And One (not in Discogs yet), a 1995 compilation from Control Music out of Ottawa that has a bunch of old bleepy techno, trance, and ambient.

Of very interesting note on that release, though, is one of the 'thanks' names, which reads, "Tom Green (he will be a star by the time you read this)".
