Question Best Soccer Player of All Times?

I think the 5 best footballers of all times are Pel (Brazil), Garrincha (Brazil), DiStefano (Argentina), Cruyff (Netherlands), and Maradona (Argentina).

You forgot Platini who is the player of the 20th century of Juventus!!
And Beckenbauer, Lineker, Keagan etc...

There are a lot of good players, but Garrincha and DiStefano are unmovable from this list.

How about the Portugese Eusebio?

Great player Btw, i think Pele is the best footballer of all times..

Peace

Here is THE LIST (the real one that matters)

-Ferenc Puskas
-Bobby Charlton
-Pele
-Di Stefano
-Garincha
-Eusebio
-Cryuff
-Platini
-Beckenbauer
-Maradona
-Stanley Matthews
-Lev Yashin (the black panther).....russian goalkeeper

Beckham, Owen and none of the others even come close to this list of players at this current moment

TTA this is the best list ... but let me add "mister" George Weah (at least an African player , he deserves it)

Posted by sector.30 on Dec-23-2001 22:02:

good list, I'd also personally add Paolo Maldini, George Best, Marco van Basten, Giuseppe Meazza, Mumo Orsi (going back a bit!), Roberto Rivellino and Just Fontaine

Posted by fastmp3 on Dec-23-2001 22:22:

Juste Fontaine wasn't extraordinary , the only good thing he did is being the top scorer of all the world cups

btw he was born in morocco

Posted by verminator on Dec-23-2001 23:53:

asd

hrmf..

kevin keagan, kenny dalglish, george best, pele, maradona, platini, beckenbauer, rumenigge, charlton ++++++++
you cant stop naming them, but pele gotta be the best of the best!

Just Fontaine's claim to fame was his 14 goals in one game. He had a few decent yrs and then injuries caught up to him. He don't go on the list. Neither does rummeige, dalglish, keagan or best, they were great players, don't get me wrong but they are missing that little whatever to make my GREATEST EVER LIST.

Maradona or Pel. But Maradona played in a period when football had developed a whole lot especially regarding the pace of the game, so my vote goes to Maradona.

Posted by Ruben_Dubbink on Dec-24-2001 08:37:

definately Johan Cruyff!

Posted by -=chato4ever=- on Dec-24-2001 20:08:

Ferenc Puskas was excellent but i dont think he should be in the top 10. I heard there was a brazilian player in the 40's and 50's that was better than Pel.

Posted by fastmp3 on Dec-25-2001 06:19:

Puskas DESERVES to be in the top 10 , are you crazy man ?

Posted by -=chato4ever=- on Dec-25-2001 22:42:

King

I think Pel has been the best. Maradona is not even closeto Pele's skill.

Posted by milanster on Dec-26-2001 01:22:

ohhh no...that could never be true..
maradona has the most unbelievable skills ever..

he just wasted himself!

Posted by -=chato4ever=- on Dec-26-2001 17:09:

King

I have a 3 hour video of Pele and it shows perfectly that he had better skill, strength, speed and better shooting.

Posted by John on Dec-26-2001 19:02:

marco boogers of dordrecht 90!!!
2nd is cruijff and 3rd is van basten
pele and maradonna werent that good (oops hehehe)

Posted by Nightmonger on Dec-27-2001 11:43:

I think you guys forgot Sivori, Rivera and Riva amongst the best players.
Imho Maradona has been the best 'cause of when Pel played the pace was ridicolous ... do you remember the goal Maradona scored vs England in Mexico 86 ? AWESOME!
