Guide To Beatmatching
I've noticed A LOT of people are posting threads about learning to beatmatch and how to beatmatch. Here's a
1. Stand in front of your Turntables/CDJ's/Tape Decks(
)
2. Turn Everything On
3. Put Your Headphones On
4. Find Two Records within 1bpm-6bpm of eachother.
5. Put them on the Turntables and put your needle on the records.
6. Make sure the channel you want to mix in is on cue.
This is the hard part:
*If you spin the record fast and it matches, put the pitch up a bit.
*If you stop the record a bit and it maches, put the pitch down a little bit.
When around the right pitch, keep moving the pitch fader VERY slightly trying to get the pitch as close and on spot as possible.
Practice the ones with the *'s in front of them and you'll have beatmatching down in no time.
Haha, thanks mate.
Got my sticky vote, precise yet simple!

Also: learn how to listen to 2 pieces of music playing at the same time, and listen to them at the same time....
if that makes sense....
I dunno... lol...
Everyone should put all of the advice they have on beatmatching in this thread, as the ultimate guide for n00bs.... Instead of a million threads with : "i'm new, need help Beatmatching"

If you throw on a track fast and it matches, wouldnt you turn down the pitch? Otherwise, woulnt it just keep going faster and faster than the cue track?
