[Review] Matthew Dekay @ Avalon Boston
Matthew Dekay owns. Really a great night. I got there around midnight and he was already spinning. First Track of the night that I heard was Montero- Captain Hook (House Mix). Great Bangin track and it sounds great in a club. Some other tunes i remember were:
DK vs Proluctors- Bad (DK re-edit)
DK- Digifruitella
Three Drives- Greece 2000 (DK remix)
Higher thoughts (DK remix)
and he closed out the night with Eye Wall- Bad Deal (Remy and Roland Remix)
The man has more production talent in his pinky than i will ever have. And he's a really chill dude. It was a poor turnout at the club, probably the least crowded I've ever seen the place. But he made the best of it and was chatting it up with me and a couple other peeps while he was spinning. Anyways here are my pics from the night.

Sounds awesome! I wonder if he'll drop by NYC. I don't see it on his tour schedule

Sometimes it's cool when that happens. Johan Gielen is my favorite DJ, and one time recently he played at Webster Hall and it was such a shitty turn out, like they didn't even promote the party. He was kinda pissed about that, but what was cool is I got to chill on stage with him the whole night, practically like it was one of my friends spinning or something lol, I had the best time (not to mention I got free booze all night up there too hahaha).
edit: on top of that he played a ton of tracks that I asked cuz half the crowd was just there for "Webster Hall" and didn't know a DJ from a doorknob.
