LoveParade AfterParty BIG SCAM??
The official loveparade afterparty was a big scam for too many reasons to mention including my own personal issue that almost turned my trip to San Francisco a living nightmare, not that I can't go with the flow, however it works out, but I got royally screwed and somewhat saved by one guy I had to talk to over an hour, running around here and there trying to get what I deserved.
The entire VIP access thing was the biggest scam I ever witnessed in years, the speakers were too loud on the eardrums as well, the music really...sucked, most of the tracks were really annoying and somewhat cheezy like you had to take 4 rolls to "get it". It is hard not to enjoy the music if you payed so much money on alcohol, tickets, and drugs, but for all the money spent on everything, the music didn't reward it enough.
It wasn't an experience, it was much more of a bummer, I really wish I had spent more time during the actual loveparade which I believe was the real rave, the afterparty was a gimmick..a big fu*kin gimmick on 10,000 idiots, me being one of them : ( Enjoy your dirty ass money ya skanduhliss muthafukuhz!!
Is it just me? If anyone else knows what I'm talking about pleeze release your shit cuz I know for sure the party was just evil in the most corrupted form, only thing I paid for was the laser systems which were tight, but I've seen better for much cheaper.
Anything VIP where Groovetickets is involved is always a ripoff. I've never had a good experience buying VIP...with them.
Lesson learned: Next event that has Groovetickets involved, buy cheap tix...cause all those VIP peeps are prolly getting screwed again.
Thing is, I never bought the VIP's from them, I requested an offer from Guiv at Spundae who had told me he upgraded my general tickets to VIP and even talked to him at the loveparade, he told me to go to the VIP line, but they just told me they had nothing to do with it so I had to spend a long time trying to talk to every person involved to get the vip wristbands...which weren't shit, but at least I didn't have to wait in line.
the groovetickets vip here in dallas didnt even have people watching the vip. lol. anybody could go up there.
The night Armin was here in Houston (07.21.05 @ Meridian) the same horse-shit happened. Some fat ass wannabe bouncer posted up a sign at the door saying "Regular Ticket $25 - VIP $40 - VIP Upgrade $10".
So I'm like ok. My roommate and I decide to upgrade our reg. admin tix. Once we're inside the club, not one single bouncer stood by that VIP door. You could literally see anyone walk in and out of that VIP room like it was a restroom or something. Oh....and VIP? Naw I'd consider that room just part of the main room since a mere 6 inch thick wall, covering only half of the main stage was pretty much all that made up that "VIP" room. I recently bought my ticket to PVD @ Meridian for Nov. 8th. Thanks to some brilliant information I can now buy my tickets 'regular' and still see the same show as if I were VIP.
Infact I may just not even consider groovetickets anymore and just show up at the door really early. "RIPOFF" is the key word here

If I'm paying for VIP that is double the general admission, I should have the right to get free water all night and at least a few free drinks from the bar, a few pictures to take with the Dj's, free t-shirt, and a copy of the entire nights set...that's what it pays for, and loveparade afterparty didn't do any of that shit, total 'rip-off' but another lesson learned, "Don't believe the Hype"!! Good VIP treatment example: Airport2 in Austin by Ark Ent.
