I really didn't remember him spinning for 5.5 hours... so I checked the review thread from last September.

RaVeRSurGe had posted the set recording up onto Soulseek. As I thought, it was only 4 hours, too. Central Park doesn't allow shows to go past 10 as far as I'm aware.

he didn't. this type of SS event is always 4 hours (6 - 10).

and to the OP: can you please stop using the nauseating "trance concert" to describe a gig/set. thx.

Actually I think this dude is the first to name it apropriately, as its not in a club... It on a stage and everyone stands facing the front sure as heck sounds like a concert to me...

I really want to know what you go to where that isn't the case, though. I'm not just talking trance, but progressive house, tech-house, minimal techno, etc. Almost every club is set up this way for the most part, from Cielo to Crobar. Under your definition, I've seen James Zabiela, Luke Chable, Danny Howells, Armin van Buuren, Sasha, John Digweed all "in concert".

Personally, when I think of a concert, I think of instruments like guitars, drums, and basses, not decks and synths, but that may be a bit too narrow-minded.

Dude He Spinned a 5 Hour SET - I got there at 5 pm and I already Heard him Spinning from the subway station at hunter college and He spinned till 10:15 then he turned on the last song that was playing and he started throwing out his records and posters and that took him another 15 minz so it was about 5 1/2 Hours Thats what I remmeber

Posted by DJ TRACE on Oct-04-2005 18:28:

and about Concerts is something that you pay and you go see that person play there music no matter if its on guiters and bass and drums of rappin over the mic or mixing on 2 decks you there to see that person preform so its a concert
