Idea dj Kanye West ????

i have a member ship to freshlymixed.com and i was searching through the BreezeBlock archives ( a radio show on radio 1) and they have Kanye West as a guest dj... and to my suprise it sounded pretty sick... its mostly all drum and bass though no trance but it blew my mind that Kanye West would dj even that type of music... has anyone heard any of this mix before??????

if anyone is really intersted in hearing it pm me...

Is that supposed to be sarcasm meaning you know of a bunch of people named Kanye West? If so, I call bullshit.

No it was sarcasm meaning that it isn't the most obscure name in existance and hence you will likely find someone else with the same name or someone who names themselves after someone else to feed off their popularity ie. coming up in search engines when people look for the rapper, etc.

Nah, you missed his point. He was saying some djs will call themselves Dj [insert popular celebrity name here] so that they can create a site and when someone types that celebrity name in on a search engine, the dj's site has a higher probablity of showing up as a link, thus drawing more attention to that dj's work. In a sense, leeching off the actual celebrity's fame to bolster his.

I would tend to agree that this happens, and that in this case, this IS what happened as I find it hard to believe Kanye mixes DnB. Then again, I didn't think P. Diddy would be singing along to Delerium - Silence and headbanging with Armin.

I was just poking some fun at Blue though.

Huh? People will really do that? Give me some examples then.

The Breezeblock is a respected radio show, and I would be surprised if they had some joker on who copied his name off a US rapper.

You may have a point, although i doubt that a person who names themselves after a celebrity is more concerned with getting hits on their websites then actually being asked to host a live stream on a website...

maybe.

I doubt that ANY big radio station would hire a DJ calling himself "DJ Kanye West" if it weren't really kanye himself. Just a thought
