Smiley DJ Jody Wisternoff

Jody Wisternoff

I used to think that Nick Warren had all the dj talent in Way out West, but the more i hear from Jody, the more i am impressed.

Just like Nick, Jody is ultra versitile, going form down right dirty, to very smooth prog. This new set i recently got just helps cement my opinion of him.

I have shared for all of you, so enjoy!

isnt this the same set that was posted on Djmixes2k.com some time ago...like earlier in the year?

Posted by angelgirl on Oct-06-2005 20:42:

WOW would not be what it is today without Jody. Both boys are extremely skilled producers and DJs.

maybe, but i got it from hybridzed.org

Just thought i would share, for those who have not heard it

Jody can scratch and do all kinds of other crazy shit as well.

Nick Warren really only shined on the production end - as a DJ he's about average (not crappy, but not sensational either).

thats funny because when ever i read something about these two, the opinions or comments are always the opposite.

One site will say Jody is the productions man, and some sites will say Warren is the productions man.

I`ll believe that they can both DJ and produce really well. One hell of a combo!

i don't understand why you're sharing it on the megaupload

why not just share the hybridized.org link?

on another note, i've seen WoW live.. with Omi singing vocals and it was one of the best sets i've heard. when she sang Mindcircus and the Gift, the singing was so intimate it blew me away.

Yea, hand this guy another compilation already.

Jody is def. the production whizkid...there are quite a handful of WOW productions (remixes namely) that don't involve Nick at all...

What compilations has he done already? I havent heard of any by him.

I always found that funny about EDM. When tag teams are given credit for a DJ set or production, sometimes only one of the group members is involved, yet the credit goes to both people.

Why not just say that its by that one person? I think it would make it a lot easier for us the listener to know who does what.

Posted by vinnie97 on Oct-24-2005 17:41:

heh I think it's just part of their agreement in working together. There are a few remixes that are more properly labeled "Jody Wayoutwest" in such cases but I've a strong feeling not all are. However, I've heard the rumor that Jody is now doing some solo work under a new alias, so we will see what that brings...WOW will continue through the forseeable future. At least one more album is on the cards.

Re: Jody compilations, see here: http://www.discogs.com/artist/Jody+Wisternoff

He's done 4 basically (more than one might expect with his relative visibility or lack thereof), dating back to 1997, the last one being in 2001...so definitely time for a new comp! I think the Balance series would be appropriate for him.

Ok somebody bring this man here!

He has been on a roll this year, even though Warren has been so so.

I'll agree to that. I used to love Nick Warren until he really dissapointed me last time at Guv. Ive never seen Jody live, but I know enough from sets that I'd dig.

No doubt, Jody Wisternoff has incredible talent.
Just pure track selection is ACE imo....

His monthly radio show (Way out There) airs on proton radio.
SOOOOO damn good...progressive greatness with lots of trancey sounds

You can easily download ANYTHING coming from WOW on hybridized.org.
They update Jody's radio show almost right after its done....

I do have to say tho, Nick Warren is a fucking genious.
Again, purely based on track selection and productions, Nick
will ALWAYS remain one of my top top DJs

Thats the show that made me bump this thread. Just incredible dreamy vibes.

Wow, the worst mix of Plastic Dreams ever. I hoped I would never be reminded of it.
