Going Out in Melbourne

Alright, i need to know where to go out in melbourne, i went there and i was pumped but i only went to this club called bimbo and it took us an eternity to find it, so next time i'll be heading out earlier, so what are some of the bes tplaces to go out ?
And which day is the day for the cheapest drinks ?
Comeone people, i'm stuck here, i'm really keen on going out in melb every time i'm there but if there are any more repeats of last time i dunno hwo much more i could take ...

meh, not too fussed, just a place that played some rad tunes, wouldn't mind seeing some internationals

Also a fan of breaks and stuff, it has to have a good vibe tho, yeah, wouldn't mind it if there was cheap drink there either

well we don't have cheap ass drinks compared to canberra - referring to the KING'O 11pm-1am = 1$ cruisers....try lounge in the city pretty sure they play breaks

Pfft, King O's $1 cruisers ...
Moosed has $1 drinks but only on thursdays happy hour (10-11), and shooters has 2 dollars drinks on a saturday :P

Yeah, its just i didn't appreciate paying at least $6 a drink for every drink ... in a night thats at least $60 ...
or at least a good night ...
a night to remember, that won't be remembered :P

When i went out we did pre drink ... just a few beers each and then we hit the town and we had to catch a tram out and the tram didn't leave for a while so we drank at the pub at the corner, then we got off the tram and asked for directions to clubs at another puba dn were obligated to drink, then another and then we finally got to a club and had a few dirnks but it was closing so tried to go to another, stopped at 1 more pub for directions (plus obligatory drink) and then finally got to this club, it was kinda average but i was stoked, the Dj played BT and that made my night, was crackin onto a hot blonde and that also payed off so yeah, big ups to melbourne ...
but yeah, its expensive all those drinks along the way ...
