vinyl life
If I baby my records with gruv glide every now and then, can a record last forever? Or will time eventually kill the groove no matter how well you take care of it?
I have some records that just don't "hit" as hard as others do. I'm wondering if it is my sound system? I dont want to be mixing live, and then when i switch over to the next track it sounds kinda dull.

How many plays roughly? I mean I just got a new record in and have probably played it like 15 times within one week.
I play my music a lot. I practice a lot. I'm hoping vinyls have a longer life than I am expecting.... :/
Some tracks will sound crap on the first play due to poor pressing/quality of the producing of the track etc
No your record will not last a long time but if the track sounds flat you could boost it some with the EQ but don't abuse of it!!!
hmmm this is kind of a dissapointment. i spent a lot of money. :/ Guess I'll have to switch to CD's soon. I can't just play a record a couple of times and then be done with it.
They last a pretty long time.
If you want your records too last a long time buy some low wear carts+styluses. I know my m44gs they sounds very nice and i only need to use about 2 grams. Never skips!
yeh, vinyl has a long life.....
so long as u dont have an acetate, they wear out in a few plays
My cds moving them in and out of cases get scratched much faster than my vinyl does, but i agree with the rest..add some gruv glide and low weight needles (I have whitelabels)
