The Space Brothers/Chakra/Ascension

these guys rock
i'd consider them best producers in the pre-2001 era

they saw a lot of airtime during oakie's 1999 EM world tour... rightfully so

Posted by Nell on Oct-09-2005 02:35:

yeah, they are amazing my faves are:

Lustral - Everytime
Ascension - Someone

Posted by Azz3D on Oct-09-2005 02:39:

chakra - doors isn't too shabby either :P
also
the space brothers - i still love you
the space brothers - shine

Posted by montana on Oct-09-2005 02:45:

The Realm - Lost In Space (Space Brothers Mix)
Force Majuere - Out of My Mind
Space Brothers - Shine

yeah i love these guys. propably one of the very few producers out there who can make trance with vocals and also make it good.

agreed, a lot of their stuff is.

right now I'm in desperate search for a decent version of the Pig and Dan mix, quality.

agreed, Lustral and Ascension both rock. they need to come out with more stuff!

Ive been looking for that aswell, i heard it in a set played by Smill & Pledger back in May i think, and I havent found it. I doubt its released. Riley & Durant did a remix aswell but its nothing special. The vocals are beutiful but still cant beat Mike Koglin or Way Out West's ''Sunrise'' Mix in my opinion. But id love to get that Pig & Dan Remix.

Posted by spc on Oct-09-2005 06:13:

ahhh i didnt know that these were all aliases from the same producers... no wonder why i love all their tracks lol... was listening to the binary finary remix of ascension - someone a few minutes ago... love that song

The Space Brothers are just very generic vocal trance from what I've heard. Almost amateurish too. Shine especially.

and you also said yesterday that Oliver Lieb doesn't produce trance.

well.. the vocals in their tracks are very above&beyond-like, lyrically. can't deny that. love and all that...

i still like couple of their lustral tracks though

the difference is that their tracks were made with the vocals in mind. they don't just sound like if the vocals were thrown in the track afterwards which is the case with all vocal trance today.

Chakra - Opacity, its not them is it ?

Chakra - Home is a really cool track, i love the vocals and melody in that one, some might consider it a bit cheese though

Posted by skip on Oct-09-2005 09:42:

"chakra - love shines through"

is my personal fav from them, altho i like many other tunes they've done, but some are too cheesy sounding for me

No, I said that he doesn't produce stuff that defines the genre.

no that is another Chakra from Israel. The same guy which under Chakra & Edi Mis produced old hits like Liquid Troll.

I liked their stuff some years ago, but it's not something I would listen to today. Too cheesy.
