Good.. finally Vandit have a digital download shop They must have heard me ranting about them

And theyve got a decent bit of back catalogue going too

Kudos to Vandit for doing this, I thought theyd be the last label in the world to do it.

Now people need to persuede Paul to put Autumn/Working/other unreleased stuff on there

Posted by jp on Oct-09-2005 13:45:

I'm listening 25 hours a day

Posted by A.J. on Oct-09-2005 13:57:

Autumn and Working were out for free some times ago, if you got the reflections special edition, there was a code in it to access a hidden section on the pvd page where you could download various stuff, including mp3s...

they were only short samples.

Posted by pvdclubber on Oct-09-2005 21:09:

they weren't short samples, coz i've got the tracks,
autumn 2003 remix and working full version, both over 4 min long, in 128kb/s

ok, they were not full club versions, but that autumn mix is around 5 minutes long, you can easily do a club edit yourself, because there are enough beats and melodic sections in it...

Posted by DJ Mikey Mike on Oct-09-2005 21:51:

4 minutes at 128kbps is as a small sample for fuck sake And yea you can make club edits with them, as some people actually did, but at 128kbps what's the point? It's hardly the same as the real thing.

well ok, but the original point was slightly different, it was solely about the availability of autumn and working...

and you CAN do GOOD sounding club edits of autumn for sure... not by looping the original autumn parts, but by doing your own percussions, kicks and basslines and then, for example, inserting the melody parts and the filtered rhythm parts of the mp3... this works well because 128 kbit are enough for the lesser sound-complexity of the breaks... and mp3-artefacts mostly occur at higher frequencies, so custom hihats help alot if you filter out the highs of the original mp3...

In any case, a full release would be far better than some hashed up 128k rip of it.
