4:45am: Just got home. I really didn't think the night was all that great.

THE DJs

Mark Oliver: Played a great warmup set. Should have been spinning at prime time. Totally the best set I heard all night. Loved Missy Elliott - Lose Control (Jacques Lu Cont dub) track of the night for me. Heard it played in the orange room too I think.

Loco Dice: I don't remember anything he played, I guess I was too busy sleeping.

Ritchie Hawtin: With his new ableton setup he was able to push the envelope of boring beeps and clicks. *yawn*

Lee Burridge: A few decent tunes, but overall failed to really get things shaking. He could have got the ball rolling but just let things simmer rather then building energy.

Timo Mass: Was alright, but never seemed to build to a climax, I keep waiting. It never happened though. Perhaps after I left? Though he did increase the energy level a bit with some banging tunes.

K-swing: Was laying down murder. The act of the night in my opinion. The only dj in the whole place to really had a energy that was catching on. It was over too soon.

I hope that carl cox and ferry laid down chaos. They had a lot resting on their shoulders when I left.

THE CROWD

Actually wasn't as insanely packed as I had thought it would be. Still way too crowded in the guv for my liking though. Kool haus had a near perfect amount of people there. The crowd wasn't as bad as it often is at the guv. The usual sweaty jackass muscle head freaks with their shirts off pushing their way around. The usaul crackhead 50yr old asian freakshow.

THE CLUB

guv could have tried the lasers out before 2am for christs sake, you've got them use them. Kool haus had some pretty brutal sound at the start of the night, but seemed better as I left. The ceiling was dripping water on me which wasn't the nicest. The Drink was crammed so I stayed outta there. The Orange room seemed like the place to be really. Right amount of people with great breakbeat while K-swing was on.

OVERALL:

5.5/10. No massive hands in the air party vibe. There were moments but it seemed forced. Like the crowd was waiting for something that wasn't delivered while I was there. Kudos to mark oliver and K-swing.

Here's two tracks I wouldn't mind ID's for. The first one Oliver spun and the second one was Burridge.

Well, I left at 5:30, because my cousins foot started bleeding and he needed to get home

Probably one of the best parties of my life... Cox dropped the best set, thats for sure.

Loco Dice dropped a decent opener... but thats what it was, an opener. He probably could have done much better, although it did do the job of pumping me up for the rest of the night.

Richie Hawtin dropped a pretty boring set, but thats his style. I have no idea what the last track he dropped was, but it was DEFINATELY the track of the ight for me.

Lee Burridge started off pretty good, but he kinda lost it at the end and I wasn't a fan.

Timo was dropping bombs left and right from what I heard of his set, but I only heard a little bit of it.

Cox... what can I say, it was the set of my life. It's definately too bad that I had to leave so early.

I got a 9 year anniversary t-shirt

I feel your pain, guys...just finished eating "sahoor" and ready for my fast today...

...I, like Lisa, *HEART* Ferry Corsten and am missing his set so much right now!!!

Vrk, watch out for the review thread police!!!

Posted by kron on Oct-10-2005 11:24:

splitloop and ferry corsten were my sets of the night (i wonder how did breaks and trance go together lol)

uberzone, coxy and timo maas were killing me too. damn great night. not to packed in orange room and kool haus so it was nice. kinda disappointed about lee burridge though. i've heard way better stuff from him! people were generally nice tonight, the tiny fire works were cool as hell haha (especially when i saw a bouncer holding it hah). hope you all had fun!

Posted by dEsidEL on Oct-10-2005 11:33:

average night

Posted by Blue. on Oct-10-2005 11:54:

Len Faki - the B-East Roller

fucking ch00n of the night

Lee warmed me up nicely, Timo handed my ass to me and Carl started off slowly but around 6 he dropped a few stormers ie. Alloy Mental, Just Kick and what sounded like a techno mix of Tim Deluxe - Reflections.

the night was loads of fun, my throat is shot and I was beat because I'm getting sick.

I got out around 7am and I must say it was best 3 hours of Ferry I've heard in a long time. Maybe better than his Trance Energy 2000 or Hyperstate 2000 set and those two are my fav ferry sets.
About 1/3 tracks were his typical tunes. The rest I didn't recognize.

Anyways, I'm pretty damn bushed so full review when I wake up.

PS: I think the last tune Hawtin dropped was Coldplay - Speed of Sound (Steve Porter remix)

Posted by MidnightClubber on Oct-10-2005 12:44:

Just got back and stayed for the entire night.

The first few hours of the club went by pretty slowly... nothing really to my liking, I was hoping DJ's would play more trance than house, but the drink room had some pretty decent house music going on.

Until ferry came on stayed mostly in the orange room, gotta love the room, crazy breakbeats and almost empty...

Regarding the crowdedness of the club, I stayed away from the main room all night, wayyyy too packed. The Kool Haus was yes, nicely sized, enough room to dance, and you didn't feel alone doing so.

At 4 when the KH started pumping the first hour was a big dissapointment, but thankfully the music picked up and so did the crowd.

Met a lot of TA's for the first time (Even though I've been with you guys out a half dozen times)... I realized that most people didn't know me so I looked kind of out of place, hopefully now I'll see more familiar faces :P

All in all a decent night, there have been better nights no doubt but it's one of the last I'll be going to this year, maybe one more

Time for sleep. Night

Yes he did! That was an insane tune as the crowd went nuts while Richie was saying goodbye. Right after that I went straight into the KH for ferry and he didn't dissapoint!

proper review when i wake up next monday! all i got to say for now is how da fuck did i make it to the guv?????? with 38 degrees body temperature, cold and bronchitis somehow all that aside and all i wanted to do was just to listen to some nice tunes by the time midnight hit so i said fuck it i'm going!!! someone needs to build me a casket now unfortunately!

p.s. oh and my feet are done, lost my voice and have a massive headache now. i guess it was all for a good cause

PARTY ON PEEPS!!!

im 100% positive that richie would have told them no lasers. I know how he operates. So if there were no lasers and minimal lights during his set, probably blue red and white, thats why.

Posted by Jayx1 on Oct-10-2005 12:57:

All i have to say is, i arrived at 3:30 and........

IT WAS ALL ABOUT COXY!!

He fucking rocked it! Some of those tunes he pulled out and the sampling he was doing was destroying the place!

Wicked wicked set. I think he played even better than last time.

Posted by cono_sur on Oct-10-2005 13:01:
