KOMPAKT vs AREAL: Superpitcher, Ada & Metope WED OCT 19th!!

Two of Cologne's heavy-weights battle it out Canal room with the Robots!!

SUPERPITCHER is best known for his string of rich, warm, emotive and often melancholic remixes and solo production. His sound touches on everything from bottom heavy beats to schaffel-house, Moroder-esque basslines through to soaring strings. As well as regular appearances on Cologne's super-label Kompakt, Superpitcher has seen releases on Playhouse, Mute, Bpitch Control, International Deejay Gigolo, Ladomat 2000, Studio iK7 and Eskimo Recordings to name a few and remains one of the most in demand producers and remixers in the minmal techno/house scene today.
This marks his second appearance with Robots after a packed house back in July at Cielo!!

ADA Ada � The genre-crossing romantic rocker girl had her first release in January 2003 on Areal and made the 4/4 bass drum what it originally was: a haunting sexy groovemonster with enough brain to explain life as such, melancholy and weird. ADA�s analog live set is practically cologne�s smallest and she doesn�t like software synthesizers as they don�t have buttons. She really is in love with the 4/4 bass drum, may it be for snuggling or for rocking � depending on her mood. Many important European clubs from Lisbon to Paris, from Hamburg via Berlin to Cologne have been delighted by her stunning live performance

METOPE tracks sometimes seem as if they longed to turn their digital being into real flesh. Unable to achieve this, they try to imagine what it would be like, by using bit reduction processes to simulate half forgotten thoughts. After years of calculations and communications with the spirit of a long forgotten master called �Sid�, they were still dissatisfied and they still didn�t know what being human feels like, ...they had not even the faintest idea. But one day this frustrating situation came to an end. Metope played a few beautiful, yet slightly melancholic chords, recorded them and nearly went crazy when he realised what had happend:............."my love feels digital" he said to himself........ �my digital feels love� appeared on the screen...
