Favorite Artist Albums of 2005

what are your favorite released compilations so far this year?

Thrillseekers - NightMusic is #1 for me, that compilation kicks ass...

Blank & Jones - Relax Volume #2 is cool too.

Pole Folder - Zero Gold

Since when were compilations artist albums?

Pendulum - Hold Your Colour

If we're counting retrospectives:

Leftfield - A Final Hit (Greatest Hits)

I'm going to go with:

Steve Porter - Homegrown

SBK - Borderline (December 04, I think, but what the hell)

Digital Blonde album if it comes out this year.

Mojado - Arena
Mark Norman - Synchroncity
Steve Angello & Sebastian Ingrosso's monster compilation of tunes that could be an album

I'd tend to agree.

Timo Maas - Pictures

Marco V - 200V is a pretty great album, save for a few tracks.

My opinion doesn't matter though because I've only heard a few albums this year.

Another vote for Zero Gold. Second place goes to Shpongle's latest album. A respectable third for Hold Your Colour. Although I don't exactly listen to a ton of artist albums...

Posted by TrancEver on Oct-11-2005 12:48:

Armin Van Buuren - Shivers

Posted by Elior on Oct-11-2005 12:50:

Shpongle - Nothing Lasts

Posted by PHg on Oct-11-2005 14:18:

Space Manoeuvres - OID (even though it was announced as a mini-album)

what about the new conjure one album
or the new depeche mode???, i've only heard 'precious' on the radio and its pretty good

Posted by IgnazZio on Oct-11-2005 16:39:

Mojado - Arena

Just ordered Mark Norman's album, I'm expecting high quality.

Probably the newest Shpongle. Though that wasn't REALLY good either. Boring year.

Definately Zero Gold by Pole Folder or Hold Your Colour by Pendulum

Posted by Dj_Day-V on Oct-11-2005 16:53:

Mark Norman - Synchroncity

Better from most of the other albums i've heard imo, alouthgh the new GMS sounds nice so far (currently giving it a listen) and I've gotta hear the new Xerox & Ilumination..

Ah, I didnt realise those counted. I thought he meant artist album from DJ's. In which case, I agree the new DM album looks to be amazing. I've heard 3 tracks off it (A pain that im used to, precious and the B-side Free) and they all sound like something off violator, if not better. The new conjure one is great too. Kinda more popish than the last record but still very nice.
