So Bradley I have a question for ya...a little random, but why is it the Crobar will have the Main Room with some Crazyass EDM and then there is frekin Hip Hop in the Reed Room.....it makes me not want to go to the bathroom cause I have to subject my ears to that....I would think they would have a lesser know EDM DJ in the Reed Room so people could go to both with out wanting to stab there ears with pencils before entering one or the other. Just a random question that was brought about last weekend at Ferry when I entered the Reed Room and was greeted by none other then Kris Kross playing Jump

Very good question. It would make more sense to have hip hop in the prop room and EDM in the Reed Room. I will suggest the idea the next meeting at the club.

Wow... Are you serious? Because you can't stand 5 seconds of hip-hop while going to the bathroom? That's ridiculous.

Ummmm... since when is Crobar strictly a "house/trance" club? They're not playing it in the main room. I just don't see a reason to complain.

Because it could become like Spirit Saturdays or normal nights at Avalon. It would be nice to have one exclusively EDM megaclub in NYC.

I just don't see the big deal. But... whatever floats your boat, I suppose.

It's not that bad.

Sometimes when I bring friends for their first edm night, before the main dj they whine that they want some hip-hop. So I tell them to go to the reed room to chill. And when the main dj comes on, I bring them back and blow them away when they hear the music, feel the energy and see everyone having a good time. A lot of them would have left if not for the reed room.

What I would like, though, is if later at night, say at 3-4am, played some downtempo edm just to chill out and stretch.

I completely agree with the downtempo/chillout idea.

Also, regarding the friends comment, it really doesn't work that way there most of the time. Most of the times that I've been there lately, it's not hip hop until like 12:30-1 am, it's EDM. By the time that the hip-hop starts, the headlining DJ is ready to come on.
