Hi .... newby

Hi

I've been registered on this site for a while but have not really posted much. I just wanted to say hi to everyone from Australia on here. This may night be the right spot, but as I'm an Aussie I wanted to say hi to all the aussie trance fans as I'm an Aussie too but live in London these days

Posted by Tania Mann on Oct-12-2005 13:32:

Hi. Yes I know Aled Mann. He's a nice guy and a great prodcuer and DJ. When I first encountered him on a board everyone naturally thought we were related which was quite funny.

hey there Tania, how's London treating you? What flavour of EDM takes your fancy?

cool website you've got there. it's missing playlists and mixes to download

Sounds like you had a blast in miami. I seriously gotta get over there one of these days.

sit back, relax, and have a drink

Posted by Simon00 on Oct-12-2005 21:35:

You'll be fine here as long as you dont like hard trance.

Welcome.

Hey Tania!!

Wow, Sponsorships from M-Audio and Izotope! Nice work!

Had a look through the website! Speechless.

Where did you study Audio Engineering in London? I will be starting the same course in February next year @ SAE College in Melbourne, but plan to take it over to London once completed.

Whats it like over there? you must be having a ball!!

Hello to everyone

Firsty thanks for the welcomes and also lovely comments regarding my site
wow.....there are heaps of questions here...

Q Where in Australia am I from
A South of Melbourne on the coast. Right near Bells Beach and Torquay (at the start of the great ocean road). I used to ride my horses on the beach each day....amazing!

Q Where did I study Audio Engineering and Digital Production?
A I studied at IMW in London. BTW Anomyst, SAE is over in London so you should have no problems continuing your study over here!

Q What is it like over in London
A I love it and I strongly recommend all Aussies spend some time over here!

Q What maths did I study....lots really....well here are some key terms i can think..........
A .......multivariate calculus (derivatives and integrals), partial differentiation, first and second order partial differential equations, proofs and logical reasoning, boolean algebra, graph theory, functions & limits, derivatives and integrals of combinations of polynomials, exponential, logarithmic and trigonometric functions, sequences, series tests, power series, vectors, lines, planes, mathematical modelling, ordinary and partial differential equations, laplace transforms, power and fourier series, complex variable theory, charting in 3D with z plane, linear algebra, vector spaces, matrix theory, linear equations, eigenvalues/eigenvectors, diagonal matrices, coding theory, laplace transformations.................
I also did some statistics classes and in my finance major for my commerce degree covered fincial maths (which is very straighforward if you have a maths major) and some introductory actuarial maths

Sorry my site is missing downloads....I'm so busy these days but some links will be up soon!

Oh yeah......Simon00....I don't like hard trance

Now a question for the regulars on TA....why does it always require me to login again each time I try to do a post. It's most annoying!

ahhhh giving me flashbacks , i did and do all of those things. it is a pretty interesting mix finance, maths, engineering and music production. is it easy to get into audio engineering and digital production? is it something that you did full time or on the side? it is something i would like to do as well as continue with maths & physics.
