Would this freak you out?

OKay, i dont reckon ive lived a sheltered existance. Ive seen some bad shit in my time, and had to deal with some crazy m0f0's...but would this freak you out?

I sit next to this guy at werk. I really actaully quite like the guy, indian dude, who has lived all around the world, probably about 30 years old, very wise kinda guy for his age.

Anywho last night we all go out for afterwerk drinks, and as usual everyone starts drinking too much and getting pissed. Im talking to this guy for a while, and we start getting a bit deep with our convo (yunno that pissed deep bullshit talk)...

And then he rips it out:-

"When i was young and living in india, i was from a rich family. Rich people in india are above the law...i was young and stupid but i knew i was above the law and took full advantage. One day my girlfriend at the time came to my house - she had just been raped and was balling her eyes out. She knew the guy, so me and four guys went to his house.
We walked upstairs and he was in bed. I asked him if he did it - he said no. I asked her if he did it - she was going nuts and yes that it was him. I shot him in the head."

Ummmm ooooooookkkkkkkkaaaaaaayyyyyyyy

So this is the guy i sit next to at werk

hahahah, holy shit.

i would just jokingly remind him that he's not in india any more.

by saying - "hey, lucky we're not in india anymore.. *then do a fake 'stick your hands in the air pose'*"

but yes, quite freaky..

Posted by sthus on Oct-13-2005 02:03:

I'm an indian fella too, i haven't really lived there but from my experience yes, the rich there are pretty much all above the law, and chances are yes, he shot the guy in the head ...

And yes it would freak me out ... but more to the point what are you gonna be doing ?
Does it worry you that much ?

i dunno, like if someone raped my mrs and id just found out and i had a gun, and was 17, could get away with it and was full of rage - i just might have done it myself..thats the thing i guess - i dunno, i dont think i am scared of him - as i said i quite like the guy, and he is right on so many issues - just wierd sitting next to someone who has killed a person.

ah that's pretty full on. i use to go to tafe with a bosnian who was straight off the boat. very funny kid and a top soccer player. he was telling me when the war was on and before they fled he had a license to kill. his old man use to work a lot and he had a gun to protect his family. a few of the stories about war that he had told me were shocking...things he'd seen, and things he'd done.

if u go out and kill someone Jules, then you wont have to feel weird about sitting next to someone who has killed someone else.

vote #1 soups..

oh and im getting the records

Posted by eRRaTiK on Oct-13-2005 02:25:

interesting.

immediate reaction would be "sh*t that's freaky" but unless the dude is exhibiting signs of homicidal tendancies (ie. he said that he shot someone yesterday, or is planning on shooting someone next week) then i don't think it's anything more than the past.

though it's hard to comprehend such behaviour here, it's no doubt perceived differently in other countries/areas and so long as he realises that something like that is not acceptable here and he won't repeat it, then he's done nothing wrong and there's nothing to fear imo.

people do crazy things when crazy things happen to them or their loved ones.

you might want to suggest that he not make a habit of revealing such things when under the influence though (unless he really trusts the person).

I know this guy who suited up in balaclavas and shit with a few mates and smashed down some dudes door and beat the shit of him with base ball bats and such cause he owed money to this drug dealer. His kid was sitting there and saw it all.

Its not murder but it was pretty wrong. Drugs will do that to ya i spose.

yeah, i reckon itd be a bit weird jpl. but its nice that you have co-workers that feel comfortable enough to talk to you about these things, hehe.

whatever you do, dont ever ever ever make eyes at his current missus! and if he gets fired, id take the next fortnight off in case someone wants to embrace the western ideology of postal-ism

i reckon if most of us were in that kinda position, and above the law, we would hard-pressed not to do the same. or maybe thats just me?

i know some very dodgy people and if they told me this i wouldnt think twice about it, but i doubt he would openly admit to doing it even with the amount of alcohol he had under his belt
