Dog Running Ipod finally gains video support

http://www.apple.com/ipod/ipod.html

was only a matter of time before this happened and is a great feature for the pod to have under its belt. I just get the feeling that they arent going to have support for anything other than quicktime which is going to be pretty much useless to 90% of people. Id like to be proved wrong but we shall see when some reviews come out.

any1 know anything about this?

yes but none have half as much storage or battery life

turn off the actually radio transmitter/receiver for the phone bit and most will outlast the Ipod in terms of battery.

Seriously, Who would want to buy this thing, The screen is only a 4:3 aspect ratio, Which is a piece of crap, The PSP has a better screen then that, Heh, Also, The fact the Ipod uses DRMed video wont get my support, Heh.

plus the psp doesnt have 30/60gb storage just there.

If you are buying it for video, why not shell out a bit more and get something designed for it with a MUCH better screen?

Another problem with the Ipod video is that it only suports 320x240 video, But seriously, Who gives a crap about an Ipod anyways, Apple only relies on it's marketing and hype, There products do really suck, And all there marketing does is make it sound like there products are better then anything thats out there.

MP4 video format
you can use programs to easily convert .avi .mpg into .mp4

but my qualms about the new ipod
- no removable battery, all my previous ipods are now crap with dead batteries, even with the battery replaced on my 40gig still doesn't work properly
- screen size is too small

u think the ipod sucks? why

Well, Ipod lacks a nice looking interface, All you see there is just text and black and white looking, I seen a better interface, like this new on from creative called the Creative Zen Vision.

ill think you will find its widely regarded as one of the most intuiative interfaces created, along with things like the original nokia phone interface. Who cares wot it looks like if it does the job u want quickly?

The thing is the Ipod is restricted to only the MPEG4/H264 format, Plus it only suports 320x240 revolution video, The Creative Zen Vision can handle WMV, MPEG, MPEG2, and Divx formats, Plus it suports 640x480 video resolutions.

thats fine and i fully agree with u on that point. It's a totally different one to what was said before but never mind

320x240 res is just shit to be fair.

my phone history:

nokia 5110 for 4 years
nokia 3310 present day

main reason is theyre efficient, simple interface, and work. i cant stand mobile phones that are so complicated i struggle to make a call on. the classic nokia menu system on these phones is top notch. I'll even take the gameboy screen over the colour ones!

actually, it's perfectly watchable provided the screen is big enough.

my Imate Jam is great for watching movies/shows and its only 320x240
