Gabriel & Dresden - Tracking Treasure Down

Is the worst track I've heard this year.

Sorry guys, but it has absolutely nothing good going for it at all.

The tune is descent, fairly catchy. But the lyrics are god awful and repetative.

this song is a weird one. i guess ull either love it or hate it.

Posted by searchdestroy_1 on Oct-13-2005 21:11:

like everything else they've ever done.

Unfortunately - apart from three tracks - the rest of their productions all side toward the dislike.

Not my style at all

Gash, gash, gash and yet more gash.

Worst thing they have EVER DONE period

Read in Asot's today thread that you think they are the most overrated artist ever, so i dont understand at all this post.
Checking the other post about their discography and as you just like 3 of them, hope you wont be opening a thread for every one of the tunes left.

this is way too pop-alike for me

+ they fucked up with the arpeggio

Posted by Blue. on Oct-13-2005 23:06:

I love it and hate it at the same time.

The song is catchy and nice but the vocals are overdone and when the clapping kicks in I wonder if they had one of their kids help them make the song.

Heard it for the first time out last weekend- the vocals float beautifully over the crowd, and when the clapping kicks in, everyone gets involved.

Its a sensational big room track that really educated people won like, cos liking songs the masses like doesnt fit with their image.

Much like Rock Your Body Rock really

And Ill be watching you cool people join in on the clapping when you think no ones watching

Or maybe it's just a poorly done track for the most part and there's no cop out

I'm hoping:

a)it's an unfinished version that's been played
b)there will be a dub

or

c)there will be decent remixes

Posted by miamitranceman on Oct-14-2005 03:13:

The repetative nature of the vocals and the layering of 3 different vocalists in one track over each other is really a cool effect actually.

i dig it.....but then im pretty easy

I think the track is great just like most of G&D works. The vocals I find very catchy and uplifting. Easy to sing along to which would work very well. I was in a car with some friends who had never heard the track before and they really got into it when the clapping came on.

Again another song that would probably be best heard live opposed to over a computer alone in your room in your underwear.

Just my opinion though.

Posted by mistiso on Oct-14-2005 04:20:

I love it. But then again, I absolutely love G&D and all their productions, solo & combined.

Can't wait to see them on December 3rd here in Atlanta!

Posted by R!CH on Oct-14-2005 05:19:

This track works VERY WELL in the clubs, so all you haters are way off base.

Despite popular fanboy belief, your opinion is not fact and disliking a track doesn't always involve "hating".

please tell me more about popular fanboy belief.

It's shit.

Everything the did afther their rmx of Mindcircus (could not go wrong with these vocals) is shitty. It's about time people should realise that this kind of sound has a bad influence on the trancescene. Just my two cents..

I think anything that sounds like a generic melodic trancer is what has a bad influence on the trance scene. If things all sounded the same it would be plain boring. I think G&D have presented a fresh sound that appeals to a wider audience. Just my two cents

no!!! It's my favourite track now! It's funky , emotional , wierd..but it's really awesome.the clapping is so funky... i love it..Molly's voice is new & strange but it's so different & cool!!

It's more of a house track, there's your first problem
