MP3 question!
Just wanting to know something about mp3's! All my mp3's on my computer are 320k quality. I can only download 192k from Dance-Tunes. Basically so they are all in the same bit rate I need to know if I rendered a 192k mp3 to a wav file then back down to a 320k would the compression and quality reduce further than that of the original 192k? Once the freqencies have been removed, can further rendering of mp3 remove anymore?
Bit of a dodgy explaination... sorry! Any help would be greatly appreciated!
if you're looking to improve the quality of your 192, it can't get any better than the original file. if you just want it to be 320kbs for the sake of being 320, then go ahead because you won't lose (if any loss even occurs) a noticicable amount of data. converting to wav seems a bit unnecessary... dBpowerAMP is a free program that can convert to higher and lower kbs rates.
Cheers mate! To clarify, it won't degrade the data anymore than 192k?

I have a 300GB HD so that isn't really a problem! I just like everything uniform!
Thanks for your input!
