Mojado Interview (Mr. Sam the selfish...)

- So mojado is just working in the second album...
- Mr. Sam will focus more in pop remixes...
- Mr. Sam will not more remix trance tracks, only if he "likes the track very, very much..."
- Mr. Sam is coming with a new album called Lyteo...
and Mr. Sam is quite selfish imo...
- why is mr sam in the front of the album and dimitri in the background? since mojado sounds more like dimitri andreas sound?
- Trance.nu: How did you guys come up with the Spanish name of your project?
Mr. Sam: The Mojado name was my idea. I discussed it with Dimitri because we first didnt want to make a project. And this sound was very similar to the sound that I wanted to have back. After some tests with Dimitri and myself in the studio I thought Yes, this sounds wet and hard!.
- Trance.nu: The only remixes which are done of Mojado tracks so far are done by the both of you yourself. Will there be remixes of Mojado tracks by other people in the future?
Mr. Sam: No, because we wanted to make an album where all the original versions were the hits. We dont need other people to make a remix of a Mojado track, we can do it by ourselves. If we want a more techno based remix, we ask Dimitri to remix it. If we want a more trancy minded remix, I can do it myself.
- and the last (Mr. Sam neither mention Fred Baker name in the interview...):
Trance.nu: What do you consider to be your best production ever so far?
Mr. Sam: Thats difficult to say because there were so many. I did a lot productions and I think that I made around 65 remixes, I think that my best production ever is on my new Mr. Sam album. One of the tracks on this album is a down tempo track called Split. I did this one together with Kirsty Hawkshaw and production wise I have the feeling its the best record Ive ever did! The track was made together with Tim Coltrane as well.
Dimitri Andreas: I think my best production isnt made yet to be honest
Mr. Sam could be more humble... read the entire interview, please, and see if you have the same feelings than me...

Mr. Sam is one of those guys who goes along with whatever makes people think hes more of the bomb. Hes a brilliant producer, and I respect him for that, but he really has an ego problem.
Thanks for the interview

This is my favorite part:
Trance.nu: Do you often check forums on the internet to read reactions and comments about your gigs and releases?
Mr. Sam: Sometimes. People and friends of mine are sending me emails sometimes to let me know what I need to check and what might be interesting for me to read. I think that everybody is able through the forum to tell their personal opinion. Im really open for it, but only when its constructive comment and not only to bash people, because that doesnt make any sense at all in my opinion. People can bash me for the quality of my music or anything else If people dont like my music, they dont have to listen to it. I dont care, but from time to time I think that the people that are bashing all the time should think more and do less If they start thinking, they will stop bashing, because it doesnt mean anything. If I dont like someones music, I will not spend my time on the internet to bash the producer. My time is precious, so I prefer to spend my time to be creative and make music instead of bashing people and their music, which is most of the time based on bullshit and lies For example: I see a lot of Top 10 DJs that are getting bashed on many forums without any good reason. For me, the people who bash them, dont have the status to start saying that things are shit and making up bullshit storys about them as well. But I respect the fact that the people can talk about the music, I even respect people that dont like my music. Im very open minded, but I dont like it when people bash DJs and producers without any good reason. But if this makes them happy, it makes me happy as well. Its better that people talk about you in a bad way, then when they dont talk about you ;-)
now watch as the people he is talking about laugh
I I I I I ...
I don't get it, he's just being honest and knows what he wants.

nice. :-|
I have the upmost respect for Fred Baker, what a brilliant producer.
I still think his remix of Delerium - Innocente was just unfuckingreal.
I also love The Effect - Day Mission as well, anyone remember that tune!?!?

| Originally posted by Ian^ yes for a long time, sam would take all the credit, wanted most of the money involved & cant even play a keyboard, he is pretty much a thief & liar and I was hoping tnu would have asked him about the situation, now Dimitri does all the production, but blackhole bum sam even tho he's a fraud for all intents & purpose |
I really enjoy what Mr. Sam has been doing lately.
Let's see where the ego takes him to. Because if he is doing great things in music (which I think he is doing), let him have the ego, until he starts getting crappy.

I think the question here is whether Mr.Sam produces at all? It's been my knowledge that he has no production/composition experience, hence why he needed Fred and Dimitri to produce for him.
If that is true, then I can't help think that most of the comments in the interview don't carry much weight.

indeed, I agree with Ian and 8wonders, and its noticed the only hit by mr sam is lyteo...
strange uh?
only one music... he said he made more than 65 works, but how many by himself, only?

if that's true, why are all releases under 'mr.sam' quality (lyteo, forever waiting ...) and under 'fred baker' pretty much rubbish (confirmation, total blackout ...)?

yes, definitely, it's only my personal opinion
I think that Mr Sam is a good producer that do different stuff respect of the major part of the artist and anyway I think that all of us might know well the whole history behind him before judging him.... we will continue this discussion after having heared his forthcoming album...

Judging by the interview, I don't notice anything wrong with him.

Are you kidding yourself? to say Mr.Sam is a better producer than Fred Baker is like saying a chevrolet is better than a mercedes. Read the posts and you'll notice that Fred Baker is responsible for the majority of the so called "Mr.Sam" productions. N
