Who Do You Think HONESTLY Will Be #1

ok seriously, who do you think it will be? not who you THINK it thould be, or who you WANT it to be. considering what each of these 3 djs have done over the last year, tell me how you think it will be on the 27th when the results are released.

1. TIESTO - ok the man has been #1 the last 3 years. yes there is the possibility of him taking it again, but what has he seriously done over the past year besides tour. not much production work, or very much of his own releases. still none the less he is tiesto, and that will be all it takes to get those votes from some of his loyal fans.

2. PVD - very steady @ #2 for the last couple of years. alot of people say he deserves it. they are voting for him just to see tiesto lose his spot. many many releases/remixes this year. and with the release of Politics of dancing 2 he has a close chance to take that number 1 spot this year.

3. ARMIN - the man blew up bigger and better than ever this year. ya hes been around for ever and everybody knows and loves him, but with the release of all of his anthems this year (shivers, etc.) witch have been getting mad play from everybody. also with his release of ASOT 2005, witch his been selling like hot cakes as well. many people have told me they believe he is a sure fire win for #1.

these are all just personal thoughts of my own, and things i have gathered after a very in - depth conversation i had with some friends of mine, so i want some serious in-put to see what the TAs think.

oh ya,
If this thread has been done, I dont give a shit, If you reply to this just to tell me that it has been done or you dont care I will find out where you live and shit on your face in your sleep.

Baby Anne SHOULD be #1. Her new mix cd dropped today actually.

But out of those, I`m thinking Armin, just because of many reasons...218 of them.

Oh man, thats a good one

Anyway, PvD should finally take it, hes earned it. Although there are so many more deserving djs of the title of #1 (JZ and Sasha come to mind), I wouldnt mind Paul taking it. Basically anyone but Tiesto or Armin and Ill be happy

sasha

I think Tiesto will probably the #1 again, it's really a popularity contest. What I'm sure is that the top 4 will be tiesto, pvd, sasha, avb (it may be in different order). However, I do hope that Wally Lopez is in the top 100 this year

Shit have the votes already been tallied? I didn't get to vote.

For some reason i thought the DJ poll went well into November.... there's still 2 months left in the year 2005. Anything can happen. How can I make a # 1 choice when there's still two months left?

id like pvd to be take it just for respects sake. but i think armin will be.

I hope to see Ferry at #1 ... But if not Armin

Forget who is gonna be #1 this year, what I am curious about is when will the likes of Sasha, Digweed, and other "house"hold names (pun intended) return to the top of the list. It wasn't all that long ago that Sasha, Digweed, Oakenfold had a strangehold on the top 5 spots but yet it does seem like ages ago that house was at the top in most everyone's minds. I mean just looking at the production house is as big as ever and the quality is top notch while anyone can arguably say trance has definitely taken a dip in terms of quality. Why won't a lotta people realize this dammit.

tbh i couldn't care less as long as its not tiesto again. That man has gotten far too much attention and another year on top would make his head explode (easy now, just as a metaphore), which could be rather good in a way.. but i'd rather see some more worthy whatever that means.

I could admit that trance is not as his best time, that there is a lot of crap made in trance today. But you will find that x10000 in house music. At least in what i understand as house music. Cause Angello & Company are not definitely house for me (and even them are starting to sounding the same in every tune). Now, talking about Sasha, when he scored #1 at DjMag he was not playing house. Not, check his tracklist archive in TA. You will find even he played tunes as System F - Exhale, Joshua Ryan - Pistolwhip, Rui Da Silva - Touch Me and Tunes from Tilt, Paul Van Dyk, Jan Jhoston,etc.. He of course played what i think you mean "house" in those sets, but he performed a good mixture of styles (including trance) that made him unique. Now i think he has gone too underground although i still enjoy his sets, but lately has lost a lot. I am not going to talk about Oakenfold cause is obvious what he played when scored #1 (check TA tracklist archive for it), so you can start to make your own conclussions about styles. Never been a big fan of Digweed so i wont talk about him, but "house" as you mean is no very far in terms of "overproduced" as trance. So soon it will start to look poor and crap, as every style overproduced nowdays.

This is Armins year. The new albums, the anthems ( Sensation)....come on, he deserves it.

Posted by Mycron on Oct-19-2005 09:28:

Armin

Posted by THE_Chris on Oct-19-2005 11:26:

Obviosly I have different ideas about who Id like to see at the top, and I do think the whole poll is a pile of crap, but anyway.

Tiesto will PROBOBLY get it, what with the tours and the commercialisation.
PvD MIGHT get it, if things go his way with the release of TPOD2 (never mind what people on here say about it)
Armin MIGHT get it, with the wider distribution of ASOT and the CDs hes put out this year.

Id be more interested to see how others get on tho.

Posted by Col on Oct-19-2005 11:36:

Tiesto, probably for the next 2 years at least.
Concerts and gigs at the Olympics puts him universes ahead of other DJs, and it is a popularity contest after all.

I sometimes think maybe if you were limited to one vote on DJMag, then Tiesto perhaps wouldn't win. But you get all these folk who vote for Ferry and Armin who just put Tiesto in their list because they don't know the names of any other DJs.

He probably gains a vast amount of points that way too.

Armin's gotta get the no1, all those weekly ASOTs
I hope that Above and Beyond get also a good position, their sets are gr8
