-- my new AMBIENT track.
my new AMBIENT track.
Been rather sick lately, but woke up the other night around 3am and
had inspiration. The inspiration was so strong I couldn't go back to
sleep, I was just laying there with endless thoughts floating in my
head. So I got up and started working on a new track and here it is:
http://www.tussinspace.com/Osteen - Rain.mp3
It is Ambient, drone zone style. 192 kbps. Listen with some good headphones or in a quiet environment because it has a lot of elements (like sub bass) that are only heard without other noise.
Please give me any comments good or bad. I need feedback.
Thanks,
Steve Osteen

i'm downloading it now but uh....
**cough** click here **cough**
sounds rainy.... cool...
EDIT: heh you might wanna post the title in the subject rather than "my new ambient track" .... it can throw people off from a good song (which from the sound of it, it is). and you might not get the credit you deserve....

Well. I actually downloaded your track earlier today and I fall asleep. It's pretty nice chillout music, Very relaxing, Maybe a little monotonous.
Just listened to your track. It is indeed ambient
The rain sample does not really do well with this track i.m.o it sounds more like a shower and I don't see where it fits in with the atmosphere of this track.
Ambient/chill out can be quite brilliant (such as the S-Tune Nightflight over the Atlantic Tune) but in this case too little happens to really get my attention. The beginning of the track is really nice but I was hoping for more layering and more atmosphere and perhaps extra percussional elements.I prefer ambient/chill out tracks which evolve a bit more. The little hihatty percussion is quite nice by the way
Nice effort anyhow!
Cheers mate!
its always nice to hear a track that doesnt sound softwareish. the track sounds like you layed down your rainforest sample and just played how you felt at that particular moment. it sounds 'on the fly' which i like because it ozzes emotion instead of just ozzing perfect quantised notes.
my only real issue is that i was hoping for a really deep and moving melody.
sophisticated stuff.
ps. thanks for reviewing my track. please check further down the list for my chillout version of it. its quite ambient/melodic
rich
it's not bad. great for when you have to relax. but one thing that bugged me was the rainforest noise in the beginning. in my opinion it was a little to long.
other then that. not to shabby
I love it. It's beautiful.
