Trance Remixes of Classical?

Heya, I'm not a DJ, I just like listening to the music... now, is there any cd that I could buy that has some quality trance remixes of classical music? What would be really cool would be an entire Symphony from, like, Beethoven or something remixed into an hour long trance experience on one or two CD's... that would kick ass...

Does anyone have any idea or suggestions of annything like this? Thanks!

Classical Trancelations by Jan Vayne and Armin van Buuren

Classical Trance by Geert Huinink and Alco Lammers

Hybrid - Symphony

While not being a rework of a classical piece as far as I know (I could be wrong though), it features a complete Russian (?) orchestra.

I was so hoping that it was going to be a great CD when I first heard of it. But it's really poor. Not the usual Geert/Alco-quality I was used to. Too bad since they are some of my favourite uplifting producers. The idea is great but it turned out to be crap :/

Hybrid - Finished Symphony and yeah it wasnt a classical piece but this track and the entire album (wider(r) Angle) was produced along with the Russian Federal Orchestra

ALCHEMIC - Baccharia
RANK 1 - sensation anthem 2003
WILLIAM ORBIT - adagio for strings (Ferry Corsten remix)
ARIA - dido (Armin Van Buuren remix) < You was sooooo good in the past Armin!!!
ROLLERBALL - albinoni
DJ TIESTO - forever today
DJ TIESTO - magik journey
RANK 1 - opus 17
CYGNUS X - orange theme (Bervoets & De Goeij remix)
ACES DELIGHT - mental theme
MIDOR & SIX4EIGHT - 7th heaven
FIRE AND ICE - souvenir de Chine
GOURYELLA - ligaya
SIGNUM - prosperity of a new world
RANK 1 - symsonic (album version)

Those tunes are real beauties! All sounds very symphonic, especially the ARMIN VAN BUUREN RMX of ARIA - dido!
After all those years, this tune is still a masterpiece! and the SIGNUM REMIX of "prosperity of a new world" is absolutely G.O.R.G.E.O.U.S during the break!

Well, I'm looking to purchase a complete cd of a well mixed, produced, and recorded series of songs... yaknow, the sort of CD you would get at Best Buy or something... not a sampler or anything...

Is that Classical Trancelations out that way yet?

And with that obligatory Tiesto comment, you can kiss goodbye to this thread.

That's not trance but just electronic remakes of classical compositions. Only trance tracks related to that album are the 2 Ferry Corsten remixes, of Barber's Adagio For Strings and Ravel's Pavane Pour Une Infante Dfunte.

Hehe, Symphony is sort of an early version of Finished Symphony, 12 mins of bliss, a little rougher on the edges and features some elements (some tweaking 303 lines for example) which were removed from the polished version. Original '96 version of Symphony also featured on Sasha & Digweed's Northern Exposure 2.

Okay. let me ask again.

What is a specific link where I can buy classical trancelations on cd for my own listening pleasure?

Posted by Spacey Orange on Oct-20-2005 19:50:

had you acted sooner, you would have found it on ebay.

Posted by GrimReaper on Oct-20-2005 20:37:

Yes it has been quite a sought after compilation and that's why it most likely isn't available in the obvious places anymore. I guess one option is to contact some record store and ask if they could (back)order it for you.

i just came upon Rhythmic Fission: Digital Revisions of Classic Trax and it's starting to grow on me (well, mostly 'Espirito : Total Chill-Out, Brain Rejuvenator). check out the page for samples and a free download.

as far as trance goes, Addio del Passato seems like the only one on this CD.

EDIT

Gluegun, check ebay for the Classical Trancelations: HERE
