why hello there

I can't believe Darude was above Bates.

Would have thought Askew and Misja Helsloot would have been a bit higher too.

hahahahah

the fans speak out... seriously, this is a much more accurate representation of the true results then the djmag one

and as far as schulz above zabeila, sure zabiela is more talented dj, but schulz has a bigger following

simple as that

Posted by stamper on Oct-20-2005 22:26:

This was an excellent idea by Swamper, hopefully this can happen every year.

To be honest, i'm surprised the prog DJ's weren't higher up, and i'm surprised Tiesto was as high as number 3.

Above & Beyond at number 5 as well.... didnt see that one coming.

Did you just completely contradict yourself there, or is it just me soups?

hahaha no
because we all know that the djs that are your FAVOURITES are who you vote for, whether or not your favourite dj is the most talented dj out there or not

Posted by Dean Millson on Oct-21-2005 00:33:

so there is in fact no difference between this and the DJMag poll whatsoever is what you're saying

to be honest, no not really.

its just that this is a more exclusive opinion base then DjMag.com results.

after watching g&d dont see how they can be so high
dont know which ones does the better trainwrecks, them or tiesto

and i love the fact that
135. Boy George

above and beyond above sahsa - nuff said

Posted by pkcRAISTLIN on Oct-21-2005 02:31:

or Nu-NRG @ #19. i love those boys, dont get me wrong, but theyre hardly top 20 DJ material.

Posted by Teflon_Teapot on Oct-21-2005 02:52:

where did BT poll?

Posted by Fpcookie on Oct-21-2005 03:24:

why dont u consider nu nrg top 20 dj material? their set at digital was certainly better than some sets ive heard of ppl ranked higher up than them.
bt was ranked 35 teflon

from a technical standpoint i dont think theyre particularly good (in an international context). a lot of the time they seem to extend outros/intros in their sets to mix together songs out of key or whatever, and that ruins the flow (for me) as well as having the odd beatmatching issue that im harsh on given their international status.

Posted by Fpcookie on Oct-21-2005 03:38:

well from the time ive seen them and from the 15+ sets of their ive listened to ive never heard any fuck ups in beatmatching.
i might be wrong here, but if someone plays live (which they do all the time) beatmatching and key pitching isnt an issue at it is all computerrised? i dunno

Posted by pkcRAISTLIN on Oct-21-2005 03:47:

^^ well, youre probably not as used to hearing mis-aligned beats as i am
