piano like ace da brain, rank 1 pad, mike lead

This new track is influenced by several of my favourites artists and tune I have listened and enjoyed.
I love Ace Da Brain and his melodic uplifting tunes, Rank 1 for the perfect Supersaw Pads and MIKE collab with Fred Baker: The search for freedom and its awesome gated lead.

It's a dreamy uplfiting trancer, not quite ASOT style but similar and very melodic.

If you're a fan of the classic uplfiting trance music I am sure you will like.

Please give some comments how to improve this production.

Thanks in advance

not my kind of cookie, but good shit nevertheless
it's so full of energy. loving the greasy synths aswell
didn't care much for the piano, at all
good stuff, keep it up

btw, why didn't you post the track name as thread subject? i almost not clicked this link b/c of it

WOW, this IS my kind of cookie, this got a nice sound for a 128 mp3 man, YOU DID A NICE JOB IN THIS.
I'd like to spin this if you don't mind, do you have a better quality copy tho?

Thanks mate.

intro rocks, love the rythmic drive, fx well used, bassline is smooth and deep, piano fx are nice, melodic elements are great,

-
sometime too many sounds converge and sound is a bit cluttered, no full version

recomendations: keep all the elements in the track, but try to arrange it in such a way that they don't conflict in making too many things happening all at once cluttering the sound. Though i've been listening to a lot of progressive lately so if this is how you envisioned your track then keep it like this and send me a promo copy

Enough reasons to listen to the track I think

I quite like this, reminds me of how good trance used to be. I have to agree with iloop though, I would rethink the whole arrangement a bit because it has serious potential I think!

Bye,
Wim

thanks for the good feeback.

I really appreciate that in those days, where so many new tunes are
thrown into the TA forum.

It has really encouraged me in this forum and it makes me continue and improve my new track

Thanks to everybody!

already told you that this is a very lovely tune with a great dreamy atmosphere. i like the builup an awfull lot, because the track just keeps on growing bigger without being to much in your face
maybe a few percussions in the background an your song will gain a little bit more energy.
but beside that, it's a really great tune!

This one floats my boat

what can I say ... love the sounds used including the piano !

this is defo my kind of trance , would like to hear a harder remix also ( for the flip side )

You had any intrest from labels ?

Mitch

Wow, very good job bro!
I never heard any of your earlyer productions but this one is really cool!
Really nice flow to the track. Keeps you up on your feet, I like this!!
If I were you I'd change the kick and the piano that comes in about 1.24 to a stronger synth, something that attracts even more attention.
I got noting more to say except great job bro!

Being an absolute fan of Ace Da Brain this thread obviously piqued my interest. I do have to say that your use of piano hardly reminds of Ace's trademark sound which is usually a lot fuller and more epic ,usually kicks in at the first breakdown of the track, and ultimately guides the entire track into that ultimate tranceuphonic bliss. Imo, you need a different piano patch/sound that's fuller, longer and perhaps has an echo. In this tracks the chords are abrupt and sound more like strings to me.

OK enough criticism - Other than the piano, everything else is solid: the kicks, the bass, the fx and the overall drive are all top-notch...

Keep it up...

This sounds really pro. Love your synths and the mastering is also very good. Top notch!

thank you very much for the feedback guys.

It really encouraged me in producing new stuff now.

Gonna send this to the labels, as I have got very good feedback from
local DJs right now

Really liked the intro a lot... then the melody comes in.. and it's *ok*.. but then you have that gated synth... eewww

Good mastering and such, though

I like the piano melody. Not repetitive, but not too complex. Very entrancing.

I feel like theres a bit of muddiness in the low end in some spots.

That lead sounds like a chiffer lead in the midi library.

Awww, you had such an awesome feel with that piano riff, and you went and pulled something out of '99? I'd love to hear a mix that explores just that piano riff.

Hi Trancevision,

Nice tune, the production quality is very good.

Could you tell which synths you have used in this production. It's always interesting to mention that. Did you use hardware or also softsynths etc.. also which sample cds and program do you use for drums.

synths: Bass & Lead sounds, as well as the pads are from Access Virus Powercore

piano and the strings: Propellerheads Reason

drumloops: Reason

For main production I use Cubase VST 5.1.

Gotta check the muddiness, I am going to mix it again in order to optimize transparency off the mixdown.

A mix that explores just the piano riff...I'll think about it .
