Audigy 2 ZS + Traktor - HELP!
I did a search on this, and while something did come up nothing pertained to my exact problem.
What's happening is the follows:
I'm trying to set up Traktor to play (using ASIO) 2 separate stereo signals (for obvious reason). However, no matter which configuration I choose (Front/Rear, Front/Side, Side/Rear, etc) I only seem to get the main to play, never the monitoring signal. Now my sound card should support it, since it has 7.1 support.
I've no idea what's wrong, perhaps there's some small thing that I am missing
. Any ideas or similar experiences? Any help is appreciated.
I'm running:
Traktor 2.6.1
WinXP
I wish I had an answer for you, but, I had the same type of issue, but I pretty much had to mess around with the settings. I must have spent over 2-3 hours. Try one thing, then another. Always test plenty. Sorry mate.
Did you just fool around w/ the output settings in Traktor, or do something else? I'm running out of options as it is, I've already spent more than 2-3 hrs on this
.
Thanks for the reply though
. Back to the drawing board...
Your sound card should be running in a mode like "quadraphonic" or similar as set by a Creative utility, for 2 stereo or 4 channel. Maybe it is just running in regular stereo (2 channels).

I've tried 2/2.1 modes w/ mono main and mono monitor, only main worked. I've also tried 4/4.1 5.1/6.1/7.1 modes same problem for everything
Another thing to check is that the headphone mix level and volume level are up, using the controls on the Traktor screen, sometimes people forget to check those. There are 2 controls onscreen for Traktor 2.53, I can't remember if there is just one control in v2.6 - anyway the headphone knobs(s) should be up.
Getting the headphones to work in Traktor is a common problem when people are first trying it. Much banging of the head on the wall, sometimes for several days
I think this should help
Go into your computers control panel, Then go into sounds and audio devices >>> then click the advanced button under the speaker settings section and in the dropdown menu select quadraphonic speakers.
I used to have the same problem when trying to setup front and rear outputs with my soundblaster.

.
. I've included screenshot so that maybe some traktor users can spot something and direct my attention to it. I've also made a screenshot of my preferences, which shows all available choices for my headphone output.

I'm a moron. I figured it out, I forgot to push the "cue" button.
Thanks for your help everyone

We have all had those days and probably more then once.
Wether it be the volume in the controll pannel or a togal switch on the back of your mixer

I was pretty sure it was something simple, I even wrote so in my original post. These things happen way too often to me
