Armins #1

Well, after viewing the results of the top DJ I was very impressed with the top 3, simply because of the fact it was my exact voting if I recall correctly. Alright, in all seriousness, those that have negative issues with AVB, the reason that I believe he was the #1 DJ is because of his consistency. While many DJ's erupt, they are completely unstable in the context of quality work week after week. I for one am glad to see that he finally made it to the top, as he greatly deserves it for his consistent work alone.

Any intellectual thoughts on this?

well, for me, pvd or armin could be in first...
but i was expectating for pvd cus he never win this top 100 stuff and i prefer his sets...
if asot radio program didnt exists, armin neither could be on top 5...

It seems in recent times that the worse a year a DJ has, the better he has ranked.

what else is there to say? he whores Armada tunes one after another mixed with some mcprog. If that is what you like then he must be the best DJ in the world. If not thank god there are other better DJs.

Yes but every Armin fan just have to shout out his opinion and tell the entire world how much he loves and worships his nr 1 dj. Just so we don't forget.

+1

we didnt even get the 'official' DJ Mag list yet and every ARmin fan is crying to sleep in excitement at next thursday.

I just wanna see their face when Armin isn't no.1 at 12:00 midnight in Turnmills.

On an unsarcastic note, I voted Tiesto, but Armin showed up in Vancouver 3 times in the past year , Tiesto hasn't been here once since I can see why people vote Armin, plus, he is quite awesome

dont blame asot for his success like its a negative thing.
the guy was smart enough to be creative and different and a way to make some money and fame. who could argue against that?

i think he deserves it sometime in his life, maybe not now, but congrats.

ps, how are u guys sure? is there any official posting?

Excellent!

Do you know of any of their reasons for the change of venue?

The 2003 & 2004 parties were pretty good @ Turnmills IMO.

Seeing Jimmy Saville present Tiesto the award in 2003 was one of my highlights of the year... In a dodgy Superman comic tribute-jacket.

The day before the DJ results are officially announced we're going to have a sticky for 2 weeks for all DJ mag related discussion, having 15 threads on the same stuff is rather frustrating.
