the mods deleted his account so you can only see posts of his that were quoted. i actually didn't get involved in it, kinda felt bad for him even though i don't like him. its not in my nature to hate.

smoke crossed the line.


but the bigger question is whether the forum has become more intolerant towards 21+ age group ?



its alrite if some little kid like nachos causes problems but a few words from smoke out of line is not tolerated. maybe this is because the mods are old and mature and they know what smoke means and take offence but they forgive the little kids because they are immature. isnt this discrimination ?

Maybe your right, but if I had to venture a guess I'd say it had more to do with the tone of his posts and his lack of contribution to the board. He didn't really interact with anyone. He just post random shit in a thread with the obligatory softcore pr0n and occasionally he verbally attack someone. From day one I found him annoying its a wonder he lasted this long. Anyone who takes the time to paste [[[smoke]]] after every post must have a screw loose.

I feel bad that I called the guy a 'wuss'; it was pretty childish on my part. And for that, TA, I apologize.

But seeing the guy gone? Good riddance. Every time I saw him on here he was attacking someone, posting pictures of chicks, or attacking someone.

The posting pictures of chicks, well, whatever. To each their own I guess. But the way he would just blatantly attack any random TA was childish. I saw it twice last night alone; once in the 'Dear blah blah thread' and once in the 'Post Your Kid Pictures' thread. There are countless other incidents as well.

In addition, I can't say this for sure because i just don't know but, I have a feeling that he was warned several times about his behavior. I don't think he ever got the idea that it wasn't so much his pictures or beer crap but, like IGK said, it was his tone and attitude towards the mods.

I mean seriously, once a mod tells you that you are banned and he has no intentions of lifting it, wouldn't you get the idea that you are not wanted and just walk away? Especially at the age of 51, I would expect someone to have that kind of maturity. I dunno.

IGK is spot on about the tone/attitude, but know that I think about it, I'm intruiged as to why he acts this way?

I like to think the point of these forums is to unite people from all over with one thing in common - trance. What more should there be? I don't honestly see why respect for the opposite sex is a prerequisite for posting here - or any other societal mandate, for that reason.

The difference of viewpoint is what makes conversation here interesting. What are we going to have left if everyone here is so like-minded and the passion and flames have been squelched out?

A few people didn't like him at all...

Maybe those few could learn a little about tolerance before they can reprimand him about their standards of 'respect'?

couldnt have said it better myself

i really like the guy not because we were necessarilly 100% compatable, but because he brought an interesting (yes interesting is a good word) viewpoint to the forums... didnt find him offensive either, no worse than your gramps
