Red Devil - Celica (trance)

For the jury i present...my new track, after 4 year break.I had a stint with Choo-Choo/Covert Operations records back in the day.I left after their sound went a bit deeper and i gave up music altogether thro depression.
Been more at the keyboard of late and enjoying listening to all the artists here, getting a bit of inspiration. Now if i could only get signed again,my electric bill is quite big this month.
Oh and apoligies if this sounds a bit loud and slightly rough, sure my ears have taken a beating over the years.

Hey Luminous.

First of all welcome back in music

Just listened to your track and I have got to say, you have a good feel for it It this is your first track after being out of music for a while then it is quite a decent one

I love the percussions in the track right from the start. They givce the track a good drive and energy. The build up itself is a bit monotonous melodicwise. Right from the break though the track becomes very good. The break itself is amazing, really reminds me of old skool trance days with the likes of Transa (ever heard of them? ) Also the leadsound is a classic of those days.

When everything comes together this track is really nice. It could be better if you added a 2nd lead on top of the first one half way through the leadsection. Or just a nice stringlayer. The track now feels a bit empty. But overall it has a lot of potential if you ask me. But hey who am I

Cheers,

Nomen Nescio

hmmm, not bad at all!
it sounds like reason you've got there, am i right?

Very interesting track I agree with what Nomen says about it having a slightly old school feel to it. The production feels very modern though which creates a good combination.

I like the way it drives on hard through the start, pretty solid percussion here. The break is also really un-complicated and serves its purpose before getting back on with the job. The melody works but its not hugely inspiring or original. I reminds me just a tad of Autumn Falls but doesnt quite reach those lofty peaks . Still, its a very good tune =)

*edit* - love the track name too. I got a 2000 model

good beat. nice little subtle percs your using especially the little 80's style synthy perc @ 0:12

not a great fan of the overall sound around 1:15 but it is good and original. as the track progresses it sounds similar to 'moogwai' by moogwai.

main break is nice and epic- i really like it. i love the main melody and the pads/layers that accompany it. and the reverbed piano.

im not sure but that break is so nice but when the beat returns the track just doesnt have the vibe i was hoping for after a break of such quality.

nice work none the less

Thanks for the feedback guys appreciate it.
Nomen-You`re spot on with the sound,i loved transa back then and i always wanted to write this kind of track, pretty driving & big lead in the middle, needed to do this after writing progressive for years.
Megaman-Yes mate i only got into reason this past year, its so handy and instant for getting the beats down, just using that and a few vsts. Its only really now for me that i have the potential for those big sounds and good basslines, could never get that access virus sound before just sounded so thin, but now the superwave pro has come along i`m well chuffed. You use it a lot?
Axolotyl-Cheers mate,i`m terrible at naming tracks, couldn`t call it`punto`,its an old banger thats so slow i need to leave the roundabout the day before to get around it.,so yes i`m jealous of your car.

This is really a great song for driving! Not just cuz of the name...the bassline just really moves and all the extra effects really are what add to this track. Nice gating and arps goin' on here.
Love your style bro...how you keep layering the leads and arps...thats my style...just lovin this!

Great melody too! Thanks for posting!

Real nice track man!
At the builup and peak around the 2 thirds of the song (i cant see the time with quicktime) the peak came out of nowhere, like the buildup didnt build enough tension if you see what I mean.....but thats getting real perfectionnist. Good job, keep going
