(Sorry watching some live international cricket with a south african commentator & I had a mate from SA who moved here at 16 and he was the same

he annoys me no end, as an ex england captain (ok so he's not naturally english) he never shows any sort of affection towards us
Yeah South-African ppl have (also) some Dutch similarities to my language.
Especially in the Congo regions; Belgium used to occupy it in the 50ies

It's because of their afrikaan'slanguage accent which contains dutch words in it.
In india the bengali's can't pronounce disk properly, they make it sound like diks (dicks). In one of our tech meeting there was this bengali guy who said why don't we use a bigger hard diks and every one was like rotfl
