Hello everyone im new here and need some direction

I recently moved to Barrie Ontario, from Nelson B.C. where hip hop has dominated the scene for along time. When i lived in Vancouver we had a Psy-trance night every friday. Im REALLY REALLY mising psy-trance parties, and i was wondering if any of you could help me get hooked up with the Toronto scene. I went out on the weekend to see the scene in Barrie but its all hip hop and Jungle. Is there anyone out there in Barrie who i could car pool with to parties?
And is there parties regularly in Toronto?

Toronto = North American KING in EDM parties!

Yea - Barrie doesn't have much to offer, I live in Collingwood, 45 north and west of yall... I'm in Barrie alot.

Jungle is pretty big there, but that's it as far as EDM goes. My friend actually was at a jungle house party Friday night! It's not my cup of tea either.

A suhi lounge up here, Monsoon Lounge & Sushi is opening a location in Barrie on Dulop St., but Queens and the Hooters. I think they plan on having some trance nights hopefully. The manager of the one here in C'wood is a buddy of mine and he spins trance. So he'll liley be coming down to spin at the Barrie location a couple times a month once they open.

Ahhh another Psy Trance fan. Welcome d00d. The only Psy Trance parties i have seen in Toronto are either the psy trance sessions at cherry beach during the summer or Infected Mushroom when they are at Guv. Besides that i beleive NuEra does some Psy, he is a TA too you will see him post in this thread lolz. MaxTo is also a Psy fan ...paging MaxTO . i havent been in TO long either so i dont know much myself but yeah more psy will for sure make me happy

Bc im from Collingwood, and I have to catch a bus from C'wood to Barrie then Barrie to TO to get down to the city to party.

My journey is 2wice as far yet I make it like every 3 weeks or so. It also costs twice as much!

No excuse living in barrie to not bus to to TO to party.

Like 8-12 busses run daily from Barrie to TO and back.

Yall have it so much easier than me! I wish I lived in Barrie and was bussing to Toronto from Barrie, not Collingwood.

there are some psy trance nights at funhaus, 526 queen st west on every thursday... and then there is a dark rave every 1st saturday of the month at the same venue...i dont know how these events are cos never been to one...
otherwise the only other events are when infected or astral projection coe to the guv....

Welcome to the board!

I only got into the party scene here just over a year ago, so my experience is somewhat limited...

In that time period, I got the chance to catch Astral Projection 3 times, and Infected Mushroom 3 times. IMO, Astral Projection will give you your psy-trance fix, while Infected Mushroom (if they spin even 1/2 as good as they did in October) will blow you out of the water. Hopefully we'll see more of 'em soon.

If you're looking for an only psy-trance party, then you'll have to wait 'till spring/summer (guessing here) when Shakti Collective will resume their parties at Cherry Beach. I attended 3 of them this year, and they're definately worth checking out. They have great decorations up, and some of the DJs are very good.

I can't comment on DarkRave, as I've never checked it out yet. I believe Robby G attentds them every so often, perhaps he can chime in.
