Well I like Madonna. How is it?

Posted by Floorfiller on Oct-23-2005 19:11:

it's actually a pretty nice tune. i'm sure there are gonna be a lot of remixes of it soon. i like it...it's tunes like this that will bring EDM to the mainstream, but i think it's pretty good...

Like much of her new album, the well known samples work wonders..

The jacques lu cont dub is top notch

its a cheap trick to sample the main lead from ABBA - Gimmie Gimmi Gimmie. Too obvious.
after all one can't go wrong with ABBA productions.

She samples 'Can You Feel It' and some other tracks on her new album.

everyone: before listening to Madonna - Hung up. listen to ABBA - GIMMI! GIMMI! GIMMI! (A MAN AFTER MIDNIGHT) from 1979

its a wonderful song. i'm an abba fan too (take a look at my sign, its from ABBA - summer night city)

i'm enjoying this tune..it's fun. i'm happy with it as i have not really liked her last couple of albums

Madonna sucks.

End of discussion.

i love, i love.

Yeah, the ABBA sampling is a cheap move, because you pretty much can't go wrong, and the lyrics are a bit shallow, but it's a hot track nonetheless. Pure, solid pop goodness.

I tend to be a closet Madonna groupie, so I've been 'hung up' on the track. It bodes well for the album. Music was a mixed bag, and American Life was widely considered a flop. But Hung Up is the right sound at the right time, and hopefully Confessions on a Dancefloor will strike the same chord. Mirwais had an interesting flare with his glitchy electrohouseish Madonna stuff, but Stuart Price hits high form here. I heard the track in the club two weekends ago and it went down very well.

Check out the planned release:

i love it.

This is the worst song she has ever done. How can you people bash Tiesto, AVB, PVD, MS, A&B....etc and praise this is beyond me. I would listen to DJ Sammy before I listen to Madonna singing about a stupid phone.

Embaressed!

Can't stand that abba sample. she needs to get Orbit back to produce her albums again

WORD!

That was her best album ever. William Orbit productions, Sasha Remixes...Madonna was on the right track.

Posted by TCB on Oct-24-2005 05:56:

my favourite madonna electronic track will always be nothing else matters. i like the bass line in the new track and i agree there could be some decent remixes made of it.

Ray of Light is another level entirely. I would kill for another album as inspired. It was her (er, Orbit's) finest bar none.

This is just good fluff.

If you can overlook the sampling, the new album is up there with 'Ray Of Light'. Is probably the album that is closest to that one of her last few in all honesty.

Decent pop tune am looking forward to the rest of the album...looking forward to the Hamel Remix big time

Posted by RebeL9 on Oct-24-2005 09:33:

Did Mirwais Ahmadzai produce this album as well?
I think he did a good job with the two latest.

Stuart Price (Thin White Duke, Jacques Lu Cont, etc) produced this one. How long till the accusations of selling out, blah blah, get thrown his way....
