Recommend me some rock
I've fell out of the loop (okay, I never really was in it) with rock music.
I like Coldplay/Muse type of stuff, so if you have recommendations similar to these guys, I'd love to hear them.
I've found RHCP, Smashing Pumpkins, My Lady Peace to be [timeless] classics, although they all play different types of music (imho).
No emo/punk stuff please (ironic since I just mentioned SP), no hardcore metal, etc etc.
Recommend me something!
Thanks all <3
Pearl Jam
Incubus
Silverchair
Both are awesome bands.
Definitely check out the "Morning View" by Incubus - it has beautiful melodic songs as well as some powerful rock tracks. They are an even better band live than they are on a CD.

Keane
A Perfect Circle
To add to my previous post...
Pearl Jam - If you like their radio hits, get one of their first 3 albums (Ten, Vs., or Vitalogy). But if you want their best stuff, get No Code or Yield. They have a greatest hits compilation (Rearviewmirror) if you are going to go that route.
Stone Temple Pilots - Their first 3 albums (Core, Purple, and Tiny Music...) are all great. They also have a greatest hits collection (Thank You).
Foo Fighters - My personal favorite is The Colour and The Shape, however the self-titled is classic and There is Nothing Left to Lose is a great pop record.
Pete Yorn - Day I Forgot is one of my all-time favorite albums, and musicforthemorningafter is a strong debut.
Ours - An underrated band that had a semi-hit a few years ago called Sometimes. Their debut (Distorted Lullabies) and follow-up (Precious) are both solid albums.
Dave Matthews Band
Well, considering you like Coldplay, I'd suggest checking out Radiohead. They put out one excellent album in OK Computer, and their other work is, on the whole, solid. Check out: OK Computer, The Bends
Incubus recommendation seconded. Their early stuff is some great funk-rock fusion type thing (with some great slap bass lines, ala Flea); later work is more firmly rooted in rock, but the funk elements still crop up from time to time. Albums: SCIENCE, A Crow Left of the Murder
The Pixies are definitely worth checking out, especially if you're into the Pumpkins. Kurt Cobain admitted something to the effect that Nirvana started as a Pixies tribute band, hopefully that should give you soem idea of their importance. Albums: Sufer Rosa, Doolittle
The Smiths should be a good bet for you if you like Muse. Actually, if you like good music in general...
. Check out: The Queen Is Dead, The Singles collection
And for pure rockin- tunes, can't go wrong with Thin Lizzy. I feel they just must be mentioned in any rock music thread
Oasis, u2, Supergrass, Doves, Elbow, Radiohead
All quality
This would be a thread I would shine in, but you guys have all suggested perfection!!
I'd check out some Sublime.. very unique (and sadly) short lived thing, but great..
As said, anything off Ten (Pearl Jam) is pure, bliss..

The Stone Roses. From what you've listed you will probably get a kick out of them.
