hey does anyone here know if there are any types of viruses that eat your memory, im very low on space and i just erased 450 mb and it didnt add on to my free space

Syphilis is known to affect the brain. What it does to memory, I'm not really sure. You might wanna go get checked out.

Not to sound stupid, but did you empty your recycle bin afterwards?

If you're really pressed for space, you could also try resizing your browser's cache to a smaller size, deleting your old temp files, saving email attachments that you don't need, etc.

If you're using Windows XP you might want to turn off it's 'system restore' feature temporarily when you try to remove any viruses.

You should also try running your antivrus in safe mode if you haven't done that yet.

Let us know if you're still having any problems.
