The TOTA Tattoo Thread
Since Laura and Jem both mentioned it, but neither seemed to get it goin, and I DID look to see if it was done, here's the TOTA TATTOO THREAD to show and share what ya'll have sportingly inked on your bodies, or what you plan to get in the near future.
Ironically enough, I don't have any tattoos yet, but my graduation present to myself is going to be a small tattoo on my ankle of the happy/sad theatre masks from drama. I figure I'll be doin that the rest of my life, and it's something I love. I also want my astrological symbol (Leo) on my shoulder blade.
So come on!! Tell us all the gory details. And pictures are more than welcome!

The TA symbol is still being drawn up by my artist....he is not sure how big it is gonna have to be in order to get the detail I want. I want that symbol because it really has become a symbol of the music for me.....I will understand why I have it....but many people won't....besides....I figure swamper will pay me good advertising money for it. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
i believe this was discussed before - him as the new face of TOTA!

I have 2 tattoos. Got them in high school...they are stars...blue and orange on my ankle and a blue star on my shoulder. The one on my ankle hurt the most...bled a lot too...eww. Good times.
i gots a few.
What I want done is:
-Right shin in Latin script going down the shin: Beati Mundo Corde (translates to "Bleased are the pure in heart") which has always meant a lot to me for a few reasons I won't really get into here.
-Left shin going down the shin: Japanese kanji script for the various martial arts which I achieve blackbelt or above standing in. (looks like it will end up being at least 4 of them for now.) Chitoryu Karate, Shadokan Karate, Japanese Jui-Jitsu and then still a ways to go but Brazilian jiu-jitsu but the Brazilian jiu-jitsu one will be written in portugese instead of japanese and will go down the the back of the left calf.
I also want to add on the words "So long and good night" streching from the area under my left arm/lat across and down diagonally to and across my ribs on the left side. Last summer two of my best friends (since forever) and I had a great long weekend at my buddies cottage and were blasting that My Chemical Romance song all weekend. 4 days after I drove back home and few to Hawaii I found out one of my best friends (one of the two at the cottage that weekend) had died. It would essentially be a tribute to the friendship and bond the three of us have and in memory of him. My other buddy is thinking seriously about getting it done too, so we would go together for that.
I love body art but am a big fan of personally getting stuff done that can be taken out (peircings) or covered up easily in a work/client setting. and stuff that obviously was done in good taste. some tattoo's are freaking rediculous.
5 tattoos.
1. Japanese characters (writing) on my lower left hip.
2. Shamrock on my lower back.
3. Devil on my lower right back.
4. Blue maple leaf on my left foot.
5. I *heart* PVD on my right foot.
All done in that order.
I think the story behind the PVD tattoo would definitely suffice as the most interesting.
I have a nautical star just above my right ankle.. my sister and i got matching ones together two summers ago..
i plan to get a couple more... but i haven't seen anything that has sparked my fancy yet.... i hope to get something designed by one of my friends who is an amazing artist... so until then.. i must wait! i'm getting very ancy though! i went out looking for a tattoo and came home with my nose peirced cause i didn't find anything!

I got a blue star on my right hip. It hurt like hell though...I'm so weak! I cried! I had to get it touched up too...but wouldn't go b/c I was to scared. I like it though, it's cute and simple.
I really want to get another one though...on my lower back - stereotypical I know - I have a couple ideas, mostly just cool designs. But I want to get it custom drawn.
Have you guys ever seen Inked? NOT Miami Inc...it's on A&E I think. But it's about this tattoo parlour in Las Vegas (with SUPER hot guys working there)...they do some custom tattoos (as does the shop on Miami Inc.) Maybe I'll go there and get my tattoo done! Good reason to go to Las Vegas too haha
But anyway...hopefully I'll do it eventually!
Side note...I was in Disney World last summer and I saw this old woman with cool piercings and covered in tattoos with her husband in a motorized wheelchair...he was also pierced and covered in tattoos. It looked so cool. You could tell they lived some crazy lives at one time. I was thinking maybe he got injured in a freak accident or something.
Which reminds me of something one of my old friends' mom's once said. She was complaining about how wierd we're gonna look when we're in the old folks home with tattoos and piercings, and he replied "No mom...it won't be wierd. We're ALL gonna look like that"
I have my family crest on my left shoulder, above bicep, and a small cross above my heart. Got them both a while ago. Want to do something else, probably a phoenix, either on back, or right shoulder, not really sure where yet, or how big, but I'll probably draw the design myself.
Left Arm (Half-Sleeve):

Still to come:
Right Arm (Full-Sleeve): Lots of exotic flowers ie: Lilys, Orchids etc
placed in a rainforest, with vines growing up my arm. Tons of colour. No animals except a chameleon hiding under my bicep. This will start the sleeve at my wrist

Right Ribs: Script writing of a poem or part of a song. around 50-100 words, but I havn't found something yet that I want. Although I am condidering this:
"Small, simple, safe price.
Rise the wake and carry me with all of my regrets.
This is not a small cut that scabs, and dries, and flakes, and heals.
And I am not afraid to die.
I'm not afraid to bleed, and fuck, and fight.
I want the pain of payment.
What's left, but a section of pigmy size cuts.
Much like a slew of a thousand unwanted fucks.
Would you be my little cut?
Would you be my thousand fucks?
And make mark leaving space for the guilt to be liquid.
To fill, and spill over, and under my thoughts.
My sad, sorry, selfish cry out to the cutter.
I'm cutting trying to picture your black broken heart.
Love is not like anything.
Especially a fucking knife."
I have this fairy flower design on my back... you can kinda see it here.

And I am thinking of another one on my side.. on the left side..but I am not sure if it is gonna look uneven... Gonna design and have it done before WMC... It will probably be pretty big tho...
