What is the name of the virus (what is the name of the .exe)? You can find it in the task manager.

no .exe is found...basically it eats my space until I have 1 MB left...and then it reverts back to my original amount and starts again....aye aye aye

Check the processes tab in the task manager, it should be there if it's running on your comp.

Get NOD32 Anti-virus. It's one of the best anti-virus programs out there, and uses very little of your computers resources.

I hope it helps.

Like I said...nothing is listed, absolutely nothing that isn't usually there. :/

Posted by Cribby on Oct-28-2005 20:21:

It stopped...I will run a virus check before it starts again grrr...I'm already suffering from internal viruses on my hd...

Are you sure your not running something that's eating up your hard drive space through virtual memory?

I am %100 sure

1. Download HiJackThis - http://mjc1.com/mirror/hjt/
2. Run it (it's a running process analyzer), and make sure you create a log file (no need to install)
3. Leave the HJT window open
4. Paste the log file's contents here - http://hjt.iamnotageek.com/
5. Parse the log file's contents to see what fucked up shit you have running, and get rid of what it tells you to by deleting lines in the HJT window.

it also wouldn't hurt to go to trendmicro.com and get an online vscan.

Well Crib, I had a trojan horse like 1 day ago, and it was malicious as hell, as I couldnt connect to ANY Anti-Virus websites or Download or Install any. So I had to re-format the HDD and re-install windows... I know it sucks, but... The trojan I had affected my csrss.exe file Running in task manager processes and also killed my windows registry. So let me know if its the same one or not, cause I just got that virus like a day ago, its an actual worm. But Anyway, let me know...
