i know its been played by several dj's lately, under which markus schulz in GDJB of 18th august 2005

Santiago Nino is starting a record label?!

Posted by Palladium on Oct-30-2005 15:22:

it pisses me off when newbies artists whore about who are playing their tracks

"Santiago's original productions and remixes have been played by such talented DJs as Mauro Picotto, Marco V, Gabriel & Dresden, M.I.K.E., Sasha, Markus Schulz, Ronski Speed, Blank & Jones, Andy Moor, Perry O'Neil, Max Graham, Matthew Dekay, Sander Kleinenberg, Cosmic Gate, Paul van Dyk , Tiesto and Armin van Buuren."

I just think it's annoying how they think that dropping names who played it makes the tunes better somehow. I mean, we already know who have played the tunes, no need to boost your ego by name dropping.

name dropping is part and parcel of everything within the industry nowadays, especially if you're trying to sell records
especially within the american market, they're more likely to buy a good record cos sasha, tiesto, armin, picotto etc... have played it than if Gareth Emery is banging on about it.
and if you're trawling the web searching for your own name again Mr Emery, noone fucking voted for you in the DJ mag top 100, I don't want any more fucking e-mails asking for me to vote for as I've unsubscribed from your mailing list a million and one times (I never signed up for the fucking thing either, so it's a mystery to me why you're even sending me them, you're fucking shit). DJ Mikey Mike finished higher than you in the poll, so fucking reach for the razors, stop living in 1999 and fucking end it

I know. Doesn't make it any less annoying.

AZ, I'm really curious why you would call Mr.Mystery Gareth Emery a.k.a. Dj Gtr.

I really don't think he did... even I do not deserve to get insulted that badly

just fancied a bit of a rant

Posted by djdarkness on Oct-31-2005 12:56:

i really cant understand wat u guys have aganist nino! i've known im for many many years now, and everything he has he has worked for, he been producting for many years and like anyone with time has got better and better. I wish im all the luck with his label!

Posted by Az on Oct-31-2005 13:49:

some guy made him a shitty website, nino said he'd pay him, then realised for the amount he was going to pay him he could get a much better one, and didn't
don't know if he did in the end though

Posted by ThaMaestro on Oct-31-2005 15:23:

shall i make a new topic for you barkers, where you can express your anger/dislikement, and what more, for people starting their own labels, naming who played their tracks etc.?

you're really pathetic! guys, STICK TO THE TOPIC!!!!

this isnt going anywhere. there are 18 replies now, only 2 of them are relatedto the topuic. i dont care if GTR sends mails to you, i dont care what you think of someone satarting a label (i guess you hate records, because when nobody starts or has started a label in the past, therer wouldnt be any music at all .. you're a REALLY STUPID guy, palladium, with all respect) .... this isnt going anywhere. this is the so maniest thread thats going totally off topic, so people can ruin the board by not sticking to it

guys, stay on topic, tell me what ya think, or leave no preply at all ..

Posted by djdarkness on Oct-31-2005 15:42:

couldnt agree more Maestro, i have to wonder how in the relases forum where havin this debate!

Posted by EricR. on Oct-31-2005 23:18:

I like most of Santiago Nino's productions, he's got a unique sound that's a diverse blend of both house and trance music. We need more innovators like him in our scene. I haven't heard Strange Candy yet, but if it's anything like his other productions, I'm sure it will be a big success.

Posted by ISTM on Dec-04-2005 17:31:

Strange Candy

Yeah, back to the topic.... Strange Candy and Sudden Death are Santiago's newest, and first releases under Dub Tech recordings, they make up Strange Candy EP. They are out now on Beatport and Audiojelly.com.

Posted by ThaMaestro on Dec-04-2005 17:36:

ahh thnx for thos notice ... i knew they would come out on dub tech, but nice 2 now its fpor sale now. thnx!

edit: after a check on audiojelly, i noticed these are only the mp3 releases. the 12" version still hasnt been released?

Posted by ISTM on Dec-04-2005 18:03:

no 12" release.. sorry. perhaps a dubtech sampler will be out after DTR002.
