recent movie reviews....

Just saw batman begins,
i thought it was extremely well done.
highly reccomended.
and then end sets up a well promised sequel.

Just saw HOUSE OF WAX
graet horror, i'd watch it just to see paris hilton get waxed!

Just saw KINGDOME OF HEAVEN
This movie proved to be a great epic story set in the times when the Muslums and the crusaders were battling for control of Jerusleum.
awesome action, Ridley Scott does it again.

And others worth mentioning:

CATCH ME IF YOU CAN-TOM HANKS
THE RED VIOLIN-SAMUEL jACKSON
(THE FIRST)BATMAN-MICHAEL KEATON
ELF-HILARIOUS
OL'BOY- THIS IS A ASIA EXTREME MOVIE HIGHLY RECCOMMENDED MOVIE ABOUT REVENGE,UP THERE WITH KILL BILL.

House of wax... Nobody dies in the first 40 minutes to an hour. You don't get attached to the characters. Only plus side was Elisha Cuthbert. Wouldn't recommend.

Plus how plausible is it for paris hilton to put up the best fight against the killer. She needed to die first in the movie.

saw MEAN STREETS..harvey kietel and robert deniro..sucked a bit..too generic..cud have made an impact when it was released. great performaces, but the movie made little impact.

saw THE YARDS..great movie..slow and moving..mark walhbergs' mint and so it james cann. solid impact.

saw TEACHING MRS.PRINGLE...no katie holmes tits in this one...sucked bigtime.

not exactly a great week.

I don't know how you define "recent" but "Batman" is 1989, "The red Violin" is 1998, "Oldboy" and "Catch me if you can" are 2003/2002 respectively.

kingdom of heaven was one of the worst plots i had ever seen. everything was so broken, short and skipped every major theme down to 10min.

hated it

a movie i just saw last night that i would reccomend is called "crash"

it's pretty well done...if you like movies that have peice together everything kinda plots then you'll like this one...plus it's about racism so it's funny at times...

Crash is one of the best movies of the year. Its kind of like Magnolia in that all the people are connected and it takes place in LA. Definitely worth seeing.

Doom: 2/5

the only similarity between the movie and the game was that they were on mars.

Unleashed-
4.5/5

I'm not sure what else it could have had to make it get that last bit. But i didnt feel that it was perfect, but damn close. The fighting is on par and makes you feel for the actors. The acting makes you love the actor or hate the actor. Not many films at all now days have made me do that. Scored by Massive Attack as well. Well done.

Just saw Crash tonight. Excellent movie and very well done. I was pleasantly surprised how well Ludacris acted and think he did a better job than anyone else. Really makes you look at our culture and how you treat minorities.

Mean Streets was released in 1973 and it did make an impact. It cemented Martin Scorsese's career as a new-school hollywood director and it was De Niro breakthrough role.

don't watch The Descent. it's horrible. it's like a bunch of women finding gollum's cave (well, sort of. ) and they get killed one by one. one of those movies where you know exactly who's going to survive, and who's gonna die first.
