Kind of new here; got scolded away for using Techno ejay last time.
It's hard to convince people I'm not using ejay's samples, so I switched to Reason.
The main melody is actually based on a simple mathematical pattern.
Oldschool
... I love to hear that...
The arrangement is not bad, I really dig the layering...
But you need a more distinct kick, and more punchy hihats and snare. Try to use better samples, or try layering your samples above each other so that they sound fatter. Or try some slight reverb to spice them up.
Right now you still got to work on the mastering, the melody synths are too muffled and the hihats too thin and.. uhm.. piercing, if you know what I mean.
Aynway, the tune was really cool, especially if you consider that you dont hear these classic rave tunes that often anymore
Not bad...
I can see, you haven't been producing for too long and are relatively new... You have some good ideas.... The melodies are working out well and you have a good grasp of how to do things...
Now, the most important thing to work on is the low end part of the track.... The frequencies below 500 hz are all mushed up in a big orgy of sounds clashing.... take out that reverb for the bass/kick and try using some more compression and EQing to carve out a niche for each element of the track around that area...
Otherwise, keep working at it and keep up the good work!
I love the initial groove. It is sweet!!
It would be good if you did not rush the progression so much. The track gets straight to the point too fast. Built it up over a few minutes instead.
The bass drum selection needs to be reviewed. Think about adding a punchier drum.
The bass is very warm & muffled. Mastering needs work.
I am not a big fan of the clap.
The pianos are interesting. They also seem muffled & maybe an octive too low. Try A crisper piano sample.
The 'idea' behind the track is HUGE. It is a very innovative piece. Great stuff mate.
