some:

Oliver Lieb - Subraumstimulation
Radical Impression - Traveller 1
L.S.G. - The Train of Thought 1.1
Spicelab - Pyrospice
L.S.G. Cellular (Oliver Lieb Remix)

Subraum... is quite popular and commercial but it still brings back memories to when i used to hear it in around 01' and 00' from a friend's cd..

As a noob to Oliver's work this is all i know from the guy...

L.S.G. - Netherworld

Obvious tune, but it never gets old.

yes.

he is not the one with most aliases, even if they are loads, but indeed he is one of the best EDM producers.

some favourites of mine are already mentioned but here we go anyway:

Ivan - Red Star (Pad mix) <- propably one of his most underrated.
Oliver Lieb - Lightspeed (Main Mix 1)
Paragliders - Lithium 1
L.S.G. - Saviour
Mindspace - Mindcontrol (Tech Mix)
Mirage - Airborn
Paragliders - Oasis
L.S.G. - Fragile (Part 3)
L.S.G. - Hearts

just to mention a few =p

Posted by AlphaStarred on Oct-30-2005 05:08:

ok, my bad, he does qualify, but it's all subjective ultimately...I just rememberd L.S.G. - Risin' from J00f's gtg set...top tune.

then again, what am i saying, as far as tech-trance and trance is concerned, he's defo one of the best, among many other talents.

If I recall correctly when we had that Best/most influental EDM producer on TA earlier this year Oliver Lieb made it into the finals. And trance is just one part of him. He does techno, ambient, house, film scores and other stuff, and he does it well.
And the fact that he pionered trance music makes him one of the god fathers of trance. But alot of people forget how many great ambient pieces he did with Dr Atmo in the mid 90s.

Posted by shades_of_gray on Oct-30-2005 11:32:

Ivan - Red Star (Pad Mix)
Oliver Lieb - Subraumustimulation
L.S.G - Netherworld (Vinyl Cut)
Paragiders - Lithium
Multiplicity - Multiply EP
Oliver Lieb Pres Smoked - Metropolis
Albion - Air 2000 (Oliver Lieb Remix)

Wasn't that the vote that said Sasha was the greatest producer of electronic dance music ever? Hmm...

To be honest, Oliver Lieb albums (whether it's Spicelab, LSG or whatever) are rarer than rocking horse shit in this country, so I haven't heard enough of his work to genuinely comment. Of the assortment of stuff he's made that I have heard (mostly remixes) I haven't really enjoyed any of it.

Origin - Wide Eyed Angel (Oliver Lieb Remix)

No one can really argue against his amazing production & influence... just look at how many times his tunes & melodies have been raped by dodgy copycats like Tiesto & Mario Piu.

yes I didnt say he won because Sasha won that poll which is funny enough since most of Sashas greatest pieces are produced by Charlie May. But Lieb came third or something.
Oliver Lieb play in a league where only a few other producers make it. One of them is BT.

Amusingly, that link doesn't actually work.

Oliver Lieb

LSG

Spicelab

Nothing by him is actually sold by Amazon, they're all third party sellers, and I've had dodgy experiences with them in the past.

Posted by basd on Oct-30-2005 17:18:

Solieb - Circus Maximus is pretty good as well.

Posted by WingDing on Oct-30-2005 17:31:

L.S.G. - Train of Thought = DJ Arabesque - Bass Control
