Anyone heard of Ghost in the Machine?
Back in the day when MP3.com was at its height and before its castration. There was this trance artist I frequently listen to named Ghost in the Machine. They had several songs: "A Long Time Forgotten", "Nordlicht - Within Each of Us", and "Before". Now when I try to find them, they are almost non-existant! Does anyone know where they are now?
ya i heard of one of their songs, it was in this one anime drift-racing cartoon called Initial D, and i remember they played it during the show when they're waiting for the main guy to come and race and when he comes they put that song on, it's pretty good. I waited until the credits to find out the name of that song and finally got it and went and searched them on google and found out a little about them.
Used to know him back in the MP3.com days, yeah. Still got his tunes on CDR somewhere I'm sure, but I've no idea what he's up to now.
NO FUCKIN WAY!
haha, thought i was the only one.
Ghost in the Machine is the single track that got me started on trance.
wish i still had it
ya i remember them. good ol mp3.com where you could download some pretty good tracks
no idea where they are now.
Uhh... Ghost in the MAchine
isn't that the name of an anime?
APhex Twins did some tracks for it.
"Ghost in the Shell" was the anime.
Wow, I barely remember that group as well. I always thought A Long Time Forgotten was a brilliant piece of work. Melodic, yet smooth and dreamy.
Hah, that group is a long time forgotten.
yeah i remember also..they had a song i think called MIRROR? it was awesome...
I searched everywhere and couldn't find anything on them anymore. Not even a single webpage with a description of them - as though everything vanished...
Do any of you happen to still have any of their songs?
A Long Time Forgotten reminded me of Robert Miles
if i remember correctly, GITM was a solo act
oh the memories...defenatly one of the acts that got me hooked on teh electronica. im gonna have to dig through my ancient cdr-s and possible mini discs to see if i cant find some of the stuff. wow....trippy.
