Dog Running [Melodic Trance] David Deep - Autumn Daze (Full 192kb)

So it's been a while since ive put anything up on here for download. I've been slowly finishing this over the last couple of weeks. I dont think its 100% finished but its not far off and i wanted some feedback to see what people thought of it.

The track is quite relaxed, i wanted to make something a little more subtle than most with some intertwining melodies that plod along rather than blaring in your ears. I'm not convinced people will like it but you might as well download it and find out

Enjoy, and as always all comments are welcome

You have a fine basis here, great soundscapes and nice melodies.

However, the complete mixdown seems a bit hollow - you don't really have anything in there apart from the obvious. This is particularily noticeable in the intro. You need to add fx's, swooshes, more layers on the percs (they're way too simple) and some supporting basslines maybe...

Also, the piano and the main synth is way too loud in the mix.

But the melodies... oh man, pure bliss.

The link isn't working for me at the moment, so I'll try and remember to come back later and heap praise upon you.

Link works, try a right click and then save as..

Nice kick and bass and percs from the start. The bassline tho, seems a bit muddy, i think you should reduce the decay or sustain on it. Pluck is too loud indeed, holds for guitar thingy as well. As Mystery said, hardly any fx in there, makes it quite static. Melody is ok, I think. Not too much hook in here. I like the percs, more is not always more. Levels are not ok at the moment thats the biggest complaint here. Every is is just too loud. Good luck fixing it and dont forget to update the link

nice relaxing track mate,

although, the bassline needs work imo, same for percussion, some more experiment with it would be nice, nice pluck you have here, just fix the levels, mate

keep it up

thanks for the comments guys, ive updated the link with a new version. Added extra percussion, turned down the leads and piano and made a few other changes. Hopefully it sounds better and ive not ruined it haha.

Smile very nice

I think this is a very well made track. What program do you use for your production. I really like it and plan on listening to it more often.

the bass is sitting on the kick also wich could make and does some problem at the low end mix if u do put any bassline on the kick u should do the bass in tow layers the high notes can be on the kick and the lows between but still it should be layerd from to diffrent sounds that the low will be more closed bass and the high notes more sawish open'd bass... btw the main melody u maded i think u should prehaps drop some notes.. too much can make some mess in the understanding the melody ... u should need some more percs.. on the other side what i can say that is good that is the melo in 1:07 sound simpler and nicer then the main melo maybe just add another lead on it too make it more intresting ... and the sound of it btw is also good.. and the pads is great..
keep it up..

yea i like your ideas DRM.. the melody especially! the only thing is that its a very straightforward peice.. maybe too straightforward. try adding some new layers in to the track.. try mixing it up a little bit, introducing new basslines or a mono lead.. stretch out the whole break a little bit more to give it some sav..

overall i think its pretty good! keep it up!
