DJ Spoke - Fall to Pieces (Alan-M Remix)

An authorized remix of DJ - Spoke (Fall to Pieces) for the AudioPioneers.net remix competition. Lost to Icone's remix...

Still really great, though... has already seen the likes of several night clubs and all the major internet radio stations (ETN, Party107, DI.FM, etc etc....)

Download

Full 320kbps bitrate!

As Deniro would say, you're "an unstoppable rebel force".

That intro synth gave me some shivers

Nice punchy kick!

Intro has a really nice techy feel to it.

Lead at 3:05 feels like it comes in a bit too sudden.

Otherwise I don't have any other complaints. I think this one's a keeper.

Damn, ur mastering is great man, nice vibe in the remix also .
Kopi =o.

Production quality is top notch as always. Song is alright, but pretty standard really (sorry DJ Spoke). Not a big fan of the intro synth, kind of jumps around and is gritty but doesn't seem to be there for any good reason. This track really shines once the vocals come in for good, 4:28ish. I love the bright synth in the background during that bit, it's a lovely counter-melody.

I think your production def getting better, this is mixed very well... Still not my music though...

great vibe in it ..cool vocal!!!

only thing i will change are those plucked...if i wa you i whould make them a little bit more punchier on the high frequency, don't if you get what i mean ,anyway this is my opnion maybe some of you prefer it in this way ...

Keep it up Man !

Cheers,Marco !

Hey Alanzo - this is excellent too like jay's production.. love what you did with the vocals, and the bassline is nice too. Icone's mustv'e been something special if it beat this and jay's!
Excellent work R

Rick

I wasn't overly impressed by Icone's remix but it probably suits the label better than mine (havn't heard Jay's yet).

nice gating on it even if it's not

i dont like the vocals in this track.

Hi

Great remix like I said at AP.. but is it me, cause nobody else's mentioned the vocals, I think are just not placed right.

Apart from that, great percs and cool mellow feel to it.
Good production.

-Jay

I agree, vocals are out of place, though you do have some very nice melodies and good overall production quality

I've listened to other remixes and, when they where done right, like in Jay's remix, they sound fine... but this is just how I heard them in my head as being portrayed, so I synced them as such.

Unless by out of place, you mean in the mix and not the syncing?

sounds nice man... like it

Posted by m2j on Nov-08-2005 02:18:

wicked remix alan, really feelin this one.
lovin the the first break down... especially at the 3min mark, pure tune right there, and i like how u follow it up with some pumpin bassdrum.

and ur build up style with the sort of breaks touch is awesome. its one of those things defines ur style

for some reason, i'm kinda tempted to say this remix has a PvD quality to it

great work bro, keep it up

Damn, you've ot yourself a pretty good track there. Nice choice of sounds all round. Great strings also. Has a nice & fresh feel to it...

Tried checking out the competition on audiopineers.net , but it's one of those "elite ivite only" sites ... so where can one check out the Icone / Jay Remix for comparison ?
