Can anoyone recomend me some good CDs?

I'd like to buy some CDs, but I dont know where to look. I like vocal-less trance, the kind that makes you think. the musical stuff, not just a beat (songs like ub devoid - way out west). even ambient stuff floats my boat. So does anyone think they can help me out?

you can also try the Secret Life of Trance series from Rising High Records.

also try the following unmixed trance series: Ravermeister, Rave Mission, Trancemaster, and Cosmic Cubes. all german releases, i believe.

for ambient: Fax +49-69/450464, Beyond Records, Instinct Records, and maybe even Waveform Records (which licensed some Beyond Records releases and are pretty easy to find.)

check www.discogs.com for more info on the releases.

btw keep in mind that the post SYSTEM-J linked has some non-trance & non-ambient releases.

Vandit, The Sessions Vol. 3
Nu NRG - Freefall
Sensorica - The Artifact (dunno if it's been released yet though)
Gatecrasher Red
Gatecrasher Discotech (Not Discotech Generation)

If you like uplifting trance, you would probably like these CD's. You could probably get most of these at ebay, amazon, or gemm.com

I don't see them mentioned in this thread, and I'll post whatever I want to.

if you like ambient some good starters would be

organic records tsunami benefit cd - 3 cds. 2 psytrance. 1 ambient. i dont much like the psytrance stuff but its worth it for the ambient cd alone and the money goes to a good cause. so theres no excuse. if you want to listen to samples, go t chaos-unlimited.co.uk and check out these 'the egg - lost at sea' and 'kaya project - rise above.' thats a good entry point into the style because it has alot of musical elements to it, whereas it can often get much less musical, much more atmospheric.

if you like that stuff then you can go deeper into the ambient thing with something like amorphous androgynous - ephidrena. which is mindbending.

and if you like that then you can go for stuff like 'the orb - blue room' (all 40 minutes of it if you can find the single. otherwise get U.F. Orb and listen to the 17 minute edit) and 'global communication - 76:14'

the last 2 records just drift. great way to completely lose your sense of time.
