Smiley DJ 21+ ??? good!

Hello all.

So, if it got changed to 21+, it makes me happier That way, the "candy kids" gets filtered out, who come in funky outfits, but don't know how to dance.!!!

See you all at Roxy.
Cheers.

That party was great ! We drove from Montreal for this event, and it was woth it ! Very good set from Paul, quite hard !!

I'd rather would have listened to some other old track than "for an angel" to close the set (I don't know, like "tell me why", "columbia", etc.); there are so many to choose from. I'd like to know what people thing about this.

PVD is the greatest ! I've seen him 4 times this year (new york (2), Creamfiels, Ibiza)

That was such a great set from Paul. As always, he didn't disappoint. Was it just me, or did he have more crowd interaction this time? He seemed really into it. It must be the new title he has. Can anyone tell me what happened at the end? I threw in the towel at 6am. Roxy needs to turn the A/C on when there's an event like that.I heard the place might turn into condos soon. =(

Man i wish i could of made it...I spent my money on Gabriel&Dresden with Markus Schulz at Spirt on Dec. 2--any of you guys attending? Did PVD smile or anything at all at this party?I love how chill and laid back he is when hes spinning...so calm--so confident. Im happy you guys enjoyed him as much as i have this past summer.

benoitpr--You said you saw PVD twice in NYC. Did you by any chance happen to make it to SUmmerStage at CEntral Park? That was the turning point for me when i fell in love with his style and his beats--theyre sooo delicious! but i wasnt feelin how he milked "time of your life" for like the last ten minutes

If you left at 6, you only missed about 10 minutes. He encored with Way Out West - Mindcircus (Original Mix) and The Chemical Brothers - Asleep from Day.

BTW, the real review threads are in the NYC and the Toronto Forums.

Hey BigMike !

Yup, I also was at Summerstage this summer (I also did a 13h road trip from Montreal that time !!!). I also was at summerstage 2004, that one was crazy it was raining like crazy for the entire 4 hours.

I also was in NYC on 31.12.2004 at IKON for New Year's.

I followed PVD around the world in 2004-2005 (new york, liverpool-UK, Ibiza...) I think you can tell I like the guy

You can see pictures of the two event on my web site :
PVD at summerstage (2004+2005) :

PVD at Ikon (NYE 2005) :
http://benoit.picherichard.free.fr/new_year's_2005.htm

PVD at Creamfields (UK) :
http://benoit.picherichard.free.fr/liverpool.htm

PVD at Amnesia (Ibiza) :

Anyone has pictures of the Roxy PVD event ? That was an awesome set.

Ben

Benoitpr--Im lovin those pics...i had a flashback as soon as i saw those lol. Nice little website you have goin there...im sure you have lots of memories from those pics. Perhaps ill see you at SummerStage next year.

OH MY GOD Ben! I'm so jealous. Is it just in America where we have to work so hard? I can never get the vacation time (or the money) to go to all those places just to follow PVD. But thank you for the pictures. I can vicariously live through you.

Hi There !

thanks for your comment, i'm quite happy that you enjoyed my pictures. Yup, that trip cost me a lot; but for me it was a dream to accomplish before I move on to more serious stuff (kids, etc.). Furthermore, I really like PVD's music, it has something that makes me in a good state of mind/body !

Are you from Prague (i saw the flag beside your name). I went once :

I went to a very cool club on that trip, Radost FX, it was a great experience !

take care !

That's actually the Filipino flag. But I was born and raised in NY. I haven't even been to Europe. I'm hoping one day I will go and catch PVD and other DJs there as well. Sigh...

Posted by benoitpr on Nov-18-2005 20:41:

oups sorry about the flag thing; should have checked better... same colours, but different location.

He has been closin' out with that track a lot lately; maybe not last track but near, summerstage, ultra fest, the mix with the piano rift through the end.

His encore was basically live production, pvd rules!
