Where have I heard Plastikman - Plastique before?

You know the intro. You know that distinctive, skittering little refrain, which is halfway to just being a sound effect. Has it ever appeared somewhere notable before? A film, a game, a TV show, a sample on another song.

It's driving me nuts.

Chances are that that sound you described was actually taken from the record Plastique (and thus the rights are in Richie Hawtin's hands), as it was released in 1994.
